Hello, I saw [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Smith609&curid=9936535&diff=909212060&oldid=906227459] and I thought you might be interested in suggestions of articles on which to work with citation bot. If so, let me know! [[User:Nemo_bis|Nemo]] 20:00, 6 August 2019 (UTC)

Time series database - reliable sourcing

Hello Jimmy Olano, please try to avoid using self-published PR publications as references for Wikipedia. While self-published sources can occasionally be used for uncontroversial information in a topic's own article (WP:SPS), many of these publications primarily serve to promote the publisher's products or to polish their reputation (see for example the section "Why InfluxDB is unique" in the removed website). Usually such sites are not credible, unbiased sources for encyclopedic content and should be avoided in favor of truely independent expert sources (books, reputed journals or non-promotional expert websites with a reputation of fact-checking). Just wanted to clarify the reasoning behind my revert a bit, but please feel free to ask if you have any further questions. GermanJoe (talk) 14:56, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
