  • diffhist Bengal Presidency 22:48 −400Worldbruce talk contribs(→‎Economy: Removed misunderstanding of the source. It says (p. 14) the Nawab of Dhaka's annual income was over one million rupees (c. first half of the 19th century), but says that income was generated from Dhaka, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Barisal, Tripura, and Chittagong. It doesn't say the Mughal administration was reaping that much from Dhaka alone in the 18th century, or that the British administration took over that amount of revenue, or that was the greatest in India. Removed unsourced.)

  • diffhist m Kattenstoet 08:01 −57Alfalfa34 talk contribs(→‎Background: I took out a sentence saying the last recorded actual cat throwing took place in 1817. The source was an unsourced book of fun facts about cats that repeated other popular misconceptions about cat massacres in the Middle Ages. I tried to put a tag for "better source needed," but whenever I went to the edit page the citation entry disappeared in the code except for the author's last name. I'm not sure why. But if there's not a better source that line should be deleted anyway.)
  • diffhist m Kattenstoet 04:26 +10Alfalfa34 talk contribs(I added "allegedly" to the sentence stating that the parade is based on a tradition from the middle ages in which cats were thrown from the belfry tower. The book sourced for this event being an actual thing is not a proper historical source, doesn't cite its own sources and uncritically repeats the idea that cat massacres were a common practice of the Middle Ages which many historians regard now as a myth. So it's possible this is based on a real thing but the sources don't back it up.)
