The company's clients include several Fortune 500 companies.[3] Currently, iMocha claims to have more than 300 clients, including Capgemini, Hexaware, Jio, TCS and Fujitsu.[4] Its headquarters is in Delaware, US, with an office in Pune, India.[5]
History[edit]
iMocha was founded on November 16, 2015 by former IBM executives Amit Mishra and Sujit Karpe. The idea for the company arose during a conversation over a cup of mocha.[2][6] Initially known as Interview Mocha, the company focused on digitizing the hiring process through its video interview platform.[3][7]
Later, the company rebranded itself as iMocha, expanding its offerings to include skill assessment and skills intelligence features. These features enable companies to evaluate the skill levels of candidates and employees, during HR decisions.[1][5]
In 2019, the company reported USD 1 million in annual recurring revenue. In 2020, iMocha received $600,000 in funding from investors, including Girish Mathrubootham, the CEO and co-founder of Freshworks, a US-based SaaS company.[5][6]
In 2022, iMocha raised $14 million in a Series A round led by investment firm Eight Roads Ventures, with participation from existing investors Upekkha and Better Capital.[3][1][8]
Platform[edit]
iMocha provides over 2,500 assessments covering technical, non-technical, and enterprise application skills.
The platform's tools include Async Interview Platform, AI-LogicBox (an AI-based pseudo-coding simulator), AI-powered language analyzer, skill benchmarking, and an upskilling dashboard product that integrates with applicant tracking systems (ATS).[9]
