I'll be glad to review this one. I'll start with a close readthrough of the article, noting initial issues, and then move to the criteria checklist when those have been addressed. -- Khazar2 (talk) 15:13, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Initial readthrough[edit]

  • One initial issue that I notice is that the lead does not seem to provide an adequate summary of the article contents (see WP:LEAD); you should also include the information "CMC may lack many of the auditory and visual cues normally associated with the emotional aspects of interactions." into the body as well as the lead.
  • "While text-based communication eliminates audio and visual cues" -- this doesn't seem quite right; after all, text is still visual, and may include images, etc. I realize you mean something like "normal physical cues" or the like, but this should be rephrased.

I'll pause here to make sure this review is "live", and we can continue when you've addressed the above issues. Thanks it advance for your work on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 15:13, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since it's been a week without these points being addressed, I'm closing this review for inactivity, and recommending not listing this article at this time. If anyone would like to address some or all of the above, however, and renominate, please go for it! Cheers, -- Khazar2 (talk) 12:24, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
