Help Change Field[edit]

Hi, I am a novice at this and would appreciate assistance for an important correction. When Gisela Kaplan is put in the search bar, she is described as a sociologist. While it is true that her early work was in sociology, she is better described as an ethologist, ornithologist and primatologist. She is Professor of Animal Behaviour, and most of her research and writings are on birds and primates. Thanks Uddermudder (talk) 11:32, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

emerita vs emeritus[edit]

I realise this word is Latin, but English is an uninflected language, and I am not a fan of "emerita" We moved from actress to actor. To insist on feminising this word seems an ugly differentiation to me. If the university called her that on her appointment, then I suppose I must accept it, while abhorring the usage... The university made her professor emeritus. Therefore the term should be emeritus. MargaretRDonald (talk) 20:45, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
