Homogeneous (homogenous)is also used to described the properties of goods in a procurement/purchasing context. Homogeneous goods wherever purchased will have identical properties, such as raw materials to a set standard or basic products such as paper which will have a single well defined specification without differntiation between sources of supply. These types of goods may be purchased through "reverse auction". Jeff Taylor

Is not complete, but I'm not sure how it was intended to be completed.

I wouldn't merge this page. As a novice wanting to know what Homogeneous meant (having been researching another page in which is is mentioned) I would find it harder to gather the information I wanted (a quick explanation of the term) if it was merged with another page. Just my 2c. Amatire

According to the Oxford Guide to English Usage, 'homogenous' is a frequent error for homogeneous, not an alternate. Charles Matthews 13:12, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
