I think we should merge the information into Jason Varitek before speedy deleting the article. --Zpb52 17:59, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I unmerged it because I was told that only the highlights should be addressed in the main article and I can just link to this at the bottom of cooresponding sections. So the info is no longer duplicated (a few notable exception gold glove, ect, but no records). I am kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place here as I am trying to get the article listed as a Good Article and am taking suggestions from there. Go check out Talk:Jason Varitek for more.Zzz345zzz 18:02, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Merge[edit]

OK, originally I had the two together, and it was suggested via Wikipedia:Good Article that they be seperated so i did that (please see Talk:Jason Varitek). Now people want it merged. It doesn't really bother me either way, but since with both parts together it didn't pass I was trying to model the format after the French Military History featured article the other day (it has a page of just a list of battles). As a Sox fan I support the merge. Doesn't seem right for something like this to be hanging by itself. Yanksox 19:08, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. --Disavian 04:52, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I would merge the two sections while removing a few awards, such as perhaps summarizing the Georgia Tech records with something like "he lead Georgia Tech in career games played (253), career runs scored (261),..." etc, and removing things such as the 1994 college awards, perhaps. --Pseudolus42 19:20, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Tek is the man, but I cannot see a reason for a separate article for his awards... --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 23:56, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
