Should HIV infection not be on this list? WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:12, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Specific text to be added or removed: reintroduce citation doi/10.3138/cbmh.432-032020 for "citation needed".
  • Reason for the change: one of the very few historical studies of the term and concept, much comparable with but also much more substantive than any of the PubMed refs I also put in.
  • References supporting change: https://www.utpjournals.press/doi/abs/10.3138/cbmh.432-032020

WikiProject[edit]

Hi all, I've chosen to improve this stub for some uni work so I'll be hopefully fleshing this out over the next two weeks (as of 02/02/22). I will gratefully take comments or notes or improvements on my additions, let me know if you have any! Thank you. Ezeva (talk) 15:26, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a small section on causes - not the most modern theory but it's just a start for now. If you have any pointers, let me know; I will continue to look at the literature and hope to add more. I will also add about symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and will try to tackle differentiating it between similar terms like hypochondriasis, medical students' disease and health anxiety. Hi all, I've added a section on differential diagnoses - if this isn't the right term please change it! I've also moved a paragraph about hypochondriasis to this new section because I thought it'd fit well there. Thanks. Ezeva (talk) 17:43, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
