Many Saints of Newark[edit]

In the movie the suburb School counselor Mrs Jarecki tells Tonys mother (after some private Chat with Tony) that Tony is a "leader" and intelligent. And she asks her "your husband got away" (to prison) and "you snuggled up close" (to Tony in bed). Does she hint to sexual child abuse or something between the lines?
