Is this department notable enough to warrant a seperate article? If not maybe the content should be merged to the UC Davis main article. I wonder about that too. WP:AfDing this article might yield insight on how the community at large feels on individual departments of Universities getting their own articles. Verifiability and notability are definetaly met as a standalone article for most university departments, just that having a million departement articles is not really something I want to see on wikipedia.
