Major Updates planned for Wiki Education MEDU 9330 assignment[edit]

Lead Updates[edit]

  1. Rework first half of lead to include more complete picture of causes of urethral hypermobility and brief treatment of stress urinary incontinence
  2. The source Serdinšek, Tamara; But, Igor (July 2017), is a primary source study and should not be included according to WikieProject Medicine guidelines. I plan to remove this and hopefully find a secondary source that can cover similar information about diagnosis of urethral hypermobility.
  3. The last sentence of the current lead mentions a single treatment for urethral hypermobility but it is not even the most effective treatment. Will replace this with a more balanced discussion of treatments.

Expand article with standardized structure[edit]

Several review articles have been published in last 5 years about Stress Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, and Physical Therapy and Surgical treatment strategies for urethral hypermobility.

I plan to include sections on: epidemiology, causes, mechanism, diagnosis, treatment, outcomes, and future research directions.
