Sebastian Cole (born August 19, 1964) is an award-winning American novelist. His debut novel, Sand Dollar: A Story of Undying Love, is one man's deathbed story of undying love for "the one who got away." What sets Sand Dollar apart from other romance novels is the way in which it mimics the tragedy of life: whereas things usually don't turn out the way we plan, bad things happen to good people, and the ones we love the most are usually the ones who hurt us the most. Sand Dollar also chronicles the toll that Borderline Personality Disorder takes on loved ones who have been devalued.

Biography[edit]

Sebastian Cole never intended to be a writer. He studied economics at Brown University, spent a year in Lord & Taylor's Executive Development program in New York City, and then moved back to Rhode Island to work in his family's business. After working there for 19 years, he decided to take a leap of faith and pursue his dreams, eventually leading him to where he is now, a novelist. Cole's debut novel has won numerous awards, including being the winner of the Hollywood Book Award, a bronze winner of ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year Awards, a finalist in the International Book Awards, and a finalist in ForeWord First debut literary competition. The book is highly rated, with many reviewers comparing him to his favorite author, Nicholas Sparks.
