Liberal Party (Vasuria)[edit]

The Liberal Party of Vasuria is an economically liberal and classical liberal political party in Vasuria. Founded in 889, it was created by the merger of various senators from the Conservative, Labour and now defunct Freedom Party of Vasuria. The Liberal Party forms the centre to centre-right of the Vasurian political spectrum.

Major policies of the Liberal Party include support for small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurialism, tax cuts, demilitarisation and privatisation of state-owned enterprises. The party is socially liberal, promoting Vasurian republicanism, secularism, minority and indigenous rights, environmentalism, animal welfare, interracial marriage, abortion, and mix-race surrogacy and adoption programmes. Unlike the Conservative Party, the Liberal Party advocates free trade and the elimination of most, if not all, protectionist policies. In foreign policy, the Liberal Party are strong advocates for the lifting of economic sanctions placed on countries by Vasuria, and are generally pro-immigrant.

The Liberal Party is a traditionally reliable coalition partner with the Conservative Party of Vasuria, owing to their similar centre-right economic positions. The party draws most of its support from small business owners, the technology industry, entrepreneurs and farmers. Its liberal social positions also draws supporters from racial and cultural minorities, secularists, sexual minorities and mixed-race families.

The Liberal Party are often nicknamed the Honey Bee Party due to their political colours of yellow and black.
