The Franks are a three -piece British- Pop Soul Band from London and Auckland, formed in 2010. They were discovered by a Music Manager while jamming at a rehearsal studios Kings Cross, in London.[1] Their debut album Love Drunk Soul is due for release later in the year. Their First Single 'Lies' is due for release March 12th 2012.

History[edit]

Jon, Kaleb and Tane - the band had been performing individually for several years as musicians. In 2009, The Franks met through a Gospel Choir performance in London. They discovered that when they just sang together they were creating a big Soul sound. They then went on to jam together and the following year, were discovered by a music manager at a rehearsal studio in Kings Cross. They each went on to front a track with the other two singers echoing sections, splitting the songs into three part harmonies.

The debut album "Love Drunk Soul" from The Franks features a number of original tracks written by the band, including their first single "Lies" as well as tracks "Heart on Fire", "Top of the Bottom" and "Take a Long Look".

In 2011 they made a number of public appearances, opening The Kitsch Lounge Riot at Cafe de Paris London, and performing at Floriditas, Ronnie Scotts and Madame JoJos.
