Malaysia Airlines Flight 370[edit]

I was going to thank you for inserting the "alpha" and "beta" symbols (I couldn't figure out how to insert actual footnotes correctly and you beat me to it), but why shouldn't we right-align a column that adds numbers? sroc 💬 14:59, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think it looks bad. From a UX perspective, it just adds cutter. Plus, I've never seen it done before in any other article. For instance Air France Flight 447. 67.136.148.138 (talk) 15:02, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I don't think the alpha and beta links are working correctly... That used to be the correct way to do it... waaaaaaayyyyy back when. Hopefully someone will come along and fix it. 67.136.148.138 (talk) 15:04, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand why. Columns of numbers should be right-aligned so that the hundreds, tens and units are in alignment (notwithstanding interruptions for footnotes). sroc 💬 15:19, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
MOS:TABLE says nothing about right-aligning numbers. 67.136.148.138 (talk) 15:23, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm surprised. sroc 💬 15:30, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I was trying to use WP:REFGROUP but it came back with an error saying there wasn't a matching </ref> tag. sroc 💬 15:21, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The "alpha" and "beta" links are working for me, by the way. sroc 💬 15:22, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
