Edits to "Social media and the effects on American adolescents"[edit]

Hello. I've removed some of the material you added to Social media and the effects on American adolescents. The content you added went into the code and made parts of the article unreadable and unverifiable as it disrupted the references already in place. I was also unable to verify the exact numbers you gave from the Amnesty International report, so I moved that reference to the "External links" section.

Also, if you are citing a source that is itself citing a source, it should be made clear in the citation. I've edited that to show the material came from the APA article author's understanding of the study they cited, so it now looks like this:

Saiphoo, Alyssa N.; Vahedi, Zahra (December 2019). "A meta-analytic review of the relationship between social media use and body image disturbance". Computers in Human Behavior. 101: 259–275. doi:10.1016/j.chb.2019.07.028. in Zara, A (2023-08-03). "Why Young Brains Are Especially Vulnerable to social media". American Psychological Association. Retrieved 2024-03-20.

That makes it easier for readers to confirm your sources.

If you're not familiar with how to code on Wikipedia, please consider using the visual editor. You can access that via the pencil icon at the top right of the code box, next to the "Preview" button. When you click on the pencil, a drop down menu will show "Visual editing" and "Source editing" as options. Visual editing is easier, generally, and will prevent any issues of adding text into the code of someone else's citation instead of into the article body itself.
