Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

Fantastic Four[edit]

You should not have created that article like that, the appropriate place to create it is at The Fantastic Four (2025 film) and that will be done by others when filming begins. If you wish to contribute to the existing draft you can find that at Draft:The Fantastic Four (2025 film). I have redirected the incorrect article, can you please revert the links that you have added in other places? - adamstom97 (talk) 14:33, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started[edit]

Hi Captain sparrow199. Thank you for your work on Oculoplasty. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for creating this starting-point for an article; it does look like you've filled a gap! It would be great to expand it further from reliable sources.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Deletion discussion about Vaidam Health[edit]

Hello Captain sparrow199, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Vaidam Health, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vaidam Health.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Pppery}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Don 3: The Final Chapter moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Don 3: The Final Chapter. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because Does not meet WP:NFILM. Even this source says filming hasn't begun because the script isn't finished. The references are all fancruft at the moment. . I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. CNMall41 (talk) 01:58, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
