Request reason:

Hello, I decided to do this again. I understand what I did was wrong (I think it was the Engadine one), if this was declined, I understand why. I have learned my lesson, I will not do it again, like I said in the last one, I will continue to only provide romanisations. I will contribute to Wikipedia by providing romanisations for scripts that most people cant read. I am a few days older, and I have learned my lesson. I should not have edited Engadine. happy holidays and happy new year, I am very sorry. If this one gets declined, I will try again in 2 years. Goodbye!

Decline reason:

Glad to hear you're a few days older, but there's nothing to suggest the disruptive editing won't recur if you were unblocked. As you suggest, perhaps a longer time away might work. -- Euryalus (talk) 03:01, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It's been a bit, about a month. I still understand what I did was wrong, and a troll edited a Wikipedia page for an IPA thing, and I want to revert it. I will never interfere in pages that aren't related to the IPA. What I did was wrong, and I will never do it again. Like I said before, I will only provide romanisations for scripts. I've learnt my lesson, and I will only help the community. I really want to provide romanisations. This is Cheesy Penguigi, and goodbye. Cheesypenguigi (talk)

I think your best chance of being unblocked is take the standard offer and wait 6 months with no socking, and then re-apply. PhilKnight (talk) 01:13, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am finally doing the standard offer. I believe it has been 6 months, and that should be enough time to move on from that "phase." The reason I got banned was definitely that I edited the wikipedia page for Engadine, and that was very inappropriate. I understand what I did was wrong. The reason given was "suspicious editing pattern" and I guarantee, what I will mostly do after this gets accepted (if it does) is not going to be suspicious (I'm just going to edit articles with spelling/grammar mistakes. I admit to it, and I regret it. I wish to contribute to Wikipedia by making stuff easier to read and understand for readers. Cheesypenguigi (talk) 21:50, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There's no chance anyone will unblock you without a topic ban around romanisations. You have demonstrated you are not capable of editing constructively in that area. Frankly, though, it's hard to see how you'll convince another administrator that you'd edit constructively even in a different area, given your past editing. --Yamla (talk) 10:23, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

ive been appealing since december 2021 so around 2 years, thats gotta be enough time to learn from my past engadine mistakes. i feel like i dont even need to state much because everything's already in the request above this, but ill still say it anyways. i got banned for editing the wikipedia page for engadine, which was an immature decision. ive learned my lesson and moved on from engadine. if this does somehow get accepted, then ill simply correct spelling/grammar mistakes i come across. i admit and regret my engadine edit. hopefully some mod sees this unlike with the last request, in september 2022. Your English language proficiency is not good enough to correct spelling and grammar mistakes here. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 21:35, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

As was said in the previous reply, my English language proficiency is not good enough to correct spelling and grammar mistakes here, so here I will correct my previous request. I have been appealing since December of 2021, close to two years. I believe that two years is enough time to learn from past mistakes committed on Wikipedia. I got banned for editing the page about Engadine, a suburb in Australia. This was a very immature decision. I have learned my lesson and moved on from such immature edits. As stated earlier, I will correct spelling or grammar mistakes here that I find. I admit that I made the edit on Engadine and I regret it as well. As a matter of fact, I am an English native speaker. I apologize for the confusion in my last appeal. Cheesypenguigi (talk) 5:38 pm, Yesterday (UTC−5)

Unblock discussion[edit]

Would unblock with topic ban around romanisations. Deepfriedokra (talk) 20:42, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No CU data to indicate block evasion. The blocking admin is Graham87. I'm not sure this is a great candidate for unblocking but hey, I don't object due to WP:AGF. May be worth unblocking them and seeing how their edits play out. --Yamla (talk) 22:43, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Topic ban is a must, I think. Their request is contradictory, saying "my English language proficiency is not good enough to correct spelling and grammar mistakes here" and then saying that they will "I will correct spelling or grammar mistakes here that I find". 331dot (talk) 00:21, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will agree that my latest request is contradictory, but I was simply replying to the previous decline reason, which states "Your English language proficiency is not good enough to correct spelling and grammar mistakes here."
Sorry for any confusion. Cheesypenguigi (talk) 14:58, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Graham87: OL to unblock? -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 19:18, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

(after Ec) Unblocked per your Wiktionary edits. I have no idea whether your earlier Romanisation edits are or are not correct; I just didn't trust them due to the Engadine edit so I wholesale reverted them. I think it's worth giving you one more chance due to the passage of time. Graham87 (talk) 03:45, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
