Dear Hans, This is regarding edit "1223024323 by HansVonStuttgart" on the topic "futile cycles". The added references are from the two most relevant and prestigious journals in the field of metabolism (Nature Metabolism and Cell Metabolism) by established authors from ETH Zurich. These references are also most relevant content on this topic and thus must be kept on wiki page for easy access to most relevant and authentic content to the general user. Are you for real? How do you conclude its advertising? Lets presume I authored these articles, are they irrelevant? Are they given undue credit? Are they published in fishy journals? Are they not genuine? Do you even understand the concept of futile cycles? Why don't you raise it to Wiki to let them decide if it is relevant?

The first statement is : A futile cycle, also known as a substrate cycle, occurs when two metabolic pathways run simultaneously in opposite directions and have no overall effect other than to dissipate energy in the form of heat. Also, probably you should re-visit the concept of citation spam.

Here you see:
