June 2022[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Metra, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:24, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I was just trying to get the hang of adding references. I'll be sure to use the preview feature from now on (I've mostly stuck to editing grammar in the past, so adding references is new to me). Magicpotato123 (talk) 20:35, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

February 2023[edit]

We are here to help you Have you read MOS:SEAOFBLUE? This says that when possible, avoid placing links next to each other so that they look like a single link (a "sea of blue"), as in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.-- Toddy1 (talk) 21:38, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there were no hyperlinks to India in the entire Adani article—so I wanted to correct that. Also, it appears to be common practice to do so (have adjacent links) in the case of public figures' birthplaces/biographical information. Hope you understand. Magicpotato123 (talk) 21:41, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
MOS:OVERLINK says that articles should not link names of countries that most readers will be at least somewhat familiar with.-- Toddy1 (talk) 23:39, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
