You're on your way![edit]

Hi, S01 - You have a good start. Please edit your user page to describe your purpose for working on Wikipedia, what you're interested in researching for the class in general, and some articles you'd might want to edit. See you soon! Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 03:52, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal on Wikipedia?[edit]

Hi Sminion01,

I'm reviewing and giving feedback on proposals for Wikipedia pages this week and noticed you didn't have one posted on your user page or talk page. Could you please post it?

Thanks, AbbeyMaynard (talk) 18:09, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sminion01, Please post your proposal and sources as soon as you can! Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 20:05, 4 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Happy to help[edit]

Hi, Sminion01. I received your message and see that you are having a bit of a struggle. What I did was went to a "Youth in XXX" page and copied then pasted the entire article in my sandbox. I then deleted all of their information, leaving only the barebones, or rather the headings. Are you creating an authentic article, or editing an already existing one? Either way...copy and paste. If you are editing, I would insert the entire article into your sandbox. Mark it up using language that will make sense to you, for example change what needs attention to a bold font, add stars or whatever is necessary, marking it as an indicator that you want to make changes and or add citations or eliminate systemic bias. Professor V said be bold (I'm paraphrasing), take risks! Others will guide you via feedback. Remember, this is a friendly environment, and we all have the same goal. Keeping this in mind, sandbox is a safe place. I hope this was helpful. If you need further direction, I am happy to stay after class and assist, though I am no pro. I am Heather, btw, in case you were not sure. Hatigges (talk) 14:01, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
