This material you've added at the list of military special forces units belongs at List of marine forces and List of paratrooper forces. * Naval infantry or Marine (Binh chủng Hải quân Đánh bộ) Under the Command of Vietnam People's Air Force (Bộ Tư lệnh Không quân Nhân dân Việt Nam)

Thanks for your message. I very much appreciate your views from Vietnam and your helpful contributions to Wikipedia. However, the scope of the page has grown so much that it has been subdivided, as above, and in the intro text of the page. Should you wish to change the scope of the page, open a discussion at the talkpage. Regards, Buckshot06 (talk) 09:21, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of wars involving Vietnam, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Sui and Tang. Thanks for your edits to general officer - but I've reverted them. The text says "The following articles deal with the rank of general", and so readers expect the list to contain articles, not red links. I would further argue that many of the links (like général) should be redirects to general officer per WP:USEENGLISH, so I cannot recommend creating new ones. What would be useful would be to expand general officer to describe how the various nations use the notion. Shem (talk) 10:30, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Vietnamese cadres showing support to Vietnam People's Army in Hanoi 1979.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vietnamese cadres showing support to Vietnam People's Army in Hanoi 1979.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:07, 28 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Vietnamese cadres showing support to Vietnam People's Army in Hanoi 1979.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Vietnamese cadres showing support to Vietnam People's Army in Hanoi 1979.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:57, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Vietnamese lists[edit]

The list you made is not really the same as the list of heads of state of Cambodia... If @Trust Is All You Need: doesn't insist on restoring his format of the lists, I can remodel them to look much more like the Cambodian list. I already have an idea how to do that:

Presidents of Vietnam[edit]

(Dates in italics indicate de facto continuation of office)

Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam, 1945–76)[edit]

No. Portrait Name
(Birth–Death)
Term of Office Title Political Party
Took Office Left Office Time in Office
1 Ho Chi Minh
(1890–1969)
2 September 1945 2 September 1969 23 years, 364 days President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam Communist Party of Indochina
(until 1951)
Worker's Party of Vietnam
(from 1951)

Tell me what you think about it, and whether you prefer to add/remove some elements... In the end, as I said several times - it would be really useful to hear what TIAYN think about the changing of his preferred format. Also - I myself wasn't dissatisfied with it, and I wouldn't object if TIAYN really wants to keep it in place. --Sundostund (talk) 16:25, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think I'll go with your new format as well. That looks much better than the old one Tran Ai Quoc Vietnam (talk)
I'm really glad you like it... It shouldn't take much time to remodel both lists (Presidents and Prime Ministers) into my format, once I hear TIAYN's opinion. --Sundostund (talk) 16:44, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I just got an idea, and I would appreciate your opinion about it. Since there is not yet a response from TIAYN about the table format on lists of Presidents and Prime Ministers, we may create new articles — List of heads of state of Vietnam and List of heads of government of Vietnam, lists which would encompass all Vietnamese heads of state and heads of government since independence in 1945. They would encompass leaders of North Vietnam, South Vietnam and reunified Vietnam since 1976... I got this idea by looking into the example of List of heads of state of Yemen and List of heads of government of Yemen, lists which I created last year. I am looking forward to hear your thoughts on this. --Sundostund (talk) 20:26, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think that's a great idea!!! Tran Ai Quoc Vietnam (talk)
As you can see, I created both lists. Check them out and tell me what you think, whether something should be changed, etc. --Sundostund (talk) 01:24, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I really like your format, keep it up! Besides I may need to make some changes to Republic of Vietnam part as during the military junta, the head of state is quite confusing. I have finalized the heads of state of Republic of Vietnam during that chaos period in Vietnamese Wikipedia. I'll transfer those information to the English one. Once thank you again for your great contribution! Tran Ai Quoc Vietnam (talk)
I am glad you like it... Also, I felt necessary to put back some things which you removed, for example general division of the list into "North Vietnam", "South Vietnam" and "Reunified Vietnam". I really think it should stay, due to geographical and political clarification of where each of those states belonged (which part of the country and which era)... And, please look into List of heads of government of Vietnam and see whether it needs some changes as well, especially during the period of military rule in the Republic of Vietnam. --Sundostund (talk) 16:34, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sure if you prefer that format. Besides I wonder if you want to add Empire of Vietnam (Bao Dai as Head of State and Tran Trong Kim as Head of Government) as well? Tran Ai Quoc Vietnam (talk)
When I created these lists, I thought that they should start with the Proclamation of Independence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, from 2 September 1945. I am not sure whether they should include the Empire of Vietnam as well... Maybe it would be better if they just include post-1945 leaders, as they currently does. Also, I think it would be really helpful if you finish your work at Leaders of South Vietnam. It really looks like a work in progress to me, as of now. --Sundostund (talk) 17:01, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yup I just finished my works on Leaders of South Vietnam. THe military junta period is the most complicated and confusing part but I'm glad I've finished it!! And probably we could leave out Empire of Vietnam for now! Tran Ai Quoc Vietnam (talk)

An article that you have been involved in editing—List of heads of state of Vietnam—has been proposed for merging with List of heads of government of Vietnam. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you. Natg 19 (talk) 17:47, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits.
