Bhanu Chowk[edit]

Bhanu Chowk is one of the most visited and well known place, chowk and icon of Dharan, Sunsari, Eastern Nepal. It is the heart and the centre of the city of Dharan. East of Bhanu Chowk is Deshi Line, Putali Line to the west, Chata Chowk, Fushre and Bhedetar to the north and Bhote pul, Charkose Jhadi and Tarahara to the south.

Dharan public toilet is also just south of Bhanu Chowk. Dharan Ghanta Ghar or Clock Tower is on the east, rickshaw stand on the west and taxi stand just on the north-west of Bhanu Chowk. Bus stand/terminal to northern hill country like Bhedetar, Dhankuta, Hile, Siduwa, Basantapur, Raja Rani, Khadbari, Tumlingtar, Bhojpur, Terhathum and buses to Ilam, Taplejung, Panchthar via southern plains and buses to southern plains towns and cities like Tarahara, Itahari, Biratnagar, Damak, Birtamode, Bhadrapur, Kakarbhitta, Inuruwa, Rajbiraj, Katari, Fatepur, Udaypur and long distance bus to Kathmandu, Pokhara, Narayanghad are also within a minute walking distance from Bhanu Chowk.
