Delete Beyond the problem that this is a changeable characteristic of the place, who is an "ethnic minority" is a tricky thing to define. Are Roma ethnic minority? Jewish immigrants from Poland? Polish immigrants? Immigrants from Turkey? Immigrants from Greece? If not the last, why not? Hispanics? Delete, after checking that the list Lists of UK locations with large ethnic minority populations is adequate, per African-American precedent. "ethnic minority" is a term well understood in UK, and will cover a multitude of post-WWII immigrant communities, but I do not think this is a good basis for a category. Nominator's rationale:Just set up. If it was complete it would contain maybe 15,000 members. As it is the creator has added about 65 and moved on to other stuff. The vast majority of the parent Category:Painters should go in, and as the default for Western painting artists since about 1500 it isn't really defining or useful. Yes, I'm fine with the far smaller & more specialized Category:Watercolorists (most of whom of course used oil at least sometimes), and the other by medium cats we have. There is no organizational improvement brought about by splitting Category:National Basketball Association players by cultural or geographic region, in addition to national origin. All of the affected national categories can be found in corresponding categories of Fooian basketball players, Expatriate basketball people in the United States, and Fooian expatriates in the United States, and there are no categories of Latin American basketball players or Latin American expatriates in the United States. -- Black Falcon(talk) 05:52, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
