Nominator's rationale: 'County' is the main area subdivision of England. All the contents of the current category are counties and any other location is likely to be a subdivision of a county (e.g. a city, town etc.) therefore a subcategory. Sionk (talk) 21:45, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:36, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. But better specify if current or historic counties are to be used. Johnbod (talk) 18:06, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A county is a county, whether current or historic. Sionk (talk) 19:16, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support -- Johnbod asks whether current or historic. I would suggest not specifying, but the norm should be contemporary county, according to when the musician lived. If he was from Dudley, but before 1974 (which Dudley became part of West Midlands County) he should be under Worcestershire, but if alive now (or more recently) under West Midlands. In most cases, it will make little differnece which it is. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:07, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Except for using the categories, but whatever. Johnbod (talk) 17:10, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. MER-C 12:55, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Non-defining characteristic. The ESPY is minor award created by a sports network, not a league-wide award like MVP or Rookie of the Year. TM 18:20, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Not a definitive award that warrants direct navigation from one winner to another. The list format already used plus occasional succession boxes is more than sufficient for navigation already. SFB 01:09, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom; not defining. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 20:57, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nominator's rationale and SFB's statement. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 13:28, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • In principle, Delete -- The main article (not mentioned in the category) appears to be ESPY Award, which is largely a list of awards by category, but some of the links to particular awards are redlinks. The normal outcoem for an award category is to Listify before deletion. Since this cateogry covers multiple awards, it is not clear whether all people in the category are in fact in one of the list articles. Someone (not me or the closing admin) needs to check that there is no article in the category, but not in one of the lists. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:29, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete another non-defining award category.John Pack Lambert (talk) 08:47, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
