Comment it would have been easier to restrict scope of "X-Files" if the TV series category where actually named sensibly, say as "X-Files (TV series)" instead of "X-Files" which ends up collecting all sorts of junk that should be in the franchise category instead. -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 04:46, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was:merge. If users decide that Unofficial Football World Championships does not belong in the target category, it can be removed from it. Merging this single-item category does not create any new problem that didn't already exist with the nominated category being in the target category. Weak oppose - the Unofficial Football World Championships is not a competition, rather it is a theoretical way of tracking how the World Championship would change hands if it was contested on a challenge system like in boxing. Merge -- As I read the article I had a feeling that the article is in the nature of WP:OR, but it is OR by a named journalist, not a WP editor. Whether this merits an article may be questionable, but this is a CFD discussion, not AFD. While the article exists, it needs a category. We do not like one-article cats, so the solution must be to merge. On the other hand I would not oppose a merge to either of Tassedethe's suggested targets.
