Nominator's rationale: "Pedarastic film" implies that the film advocates or promotes pederasty (like a "feminist film" would promote feminism or "Christian film" would reflect support for Christianity). Jason A. Quest (talk) 19:44, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete alas there is no genre for films about pederasty. And were there, what reliable sources would tell us how much about pederasty must a film be to be in such a genre, and what reliable sources would tell us whether any particular film has met that level? Category:Sulawesi languages[edit]

Nominator's rationale: These are languages, of various subfamilies, that are spoken on Sulawesi island in Indonesia. The normal nomenclature of the Austronesian languages is Fooian languages are a genetic branch of languages, where as Languages of Foo are languages spoken in Foo. Hence, Category:Philippine languages include languages of the same branch spoken entirely outside of the Philippines - akin to Category:Germanic languages that contains languages spoken only in Iceland or such. There is no "Sulawesi languages" branch of Austronesian (a proposed branch named Celebic languages is categorized at Category:Celebic languages, so this category cannot be pruned to fit the purpose, hence the name should change to accommodate its use and keep its naming consistent.   • *:Nominator's rationale: we rarely organize people by ethnicity and religion and it looks pretty irrelevant here. Fiji is a highly sectarian state with most native Fijians being Christian and most Indo-Fijians being Hindus or Muslims. Such a category doesn't seem necessary at all. I'm also nominating these related Categories for deletion as well
all the articles in these Categories should be transfered to the more generica and inclusive Fijian categories, (example: articles for Category:Indo-Fijian Methodists should go to Category:Fijian Methodists) so I guess this is more of a merge discussion than a deletion discussion. Support in Principle/Procedural Concern The Christian denominations are almost all very small categories and should be at least grouped as "Christians" or merged to a broader denomination category. @Inter&anthro: I would resubmit this proposal as a merger one and specify which category or categories each one should be merged into. You can use the Category:1982 comic debuts nomination below as a template for how to format that. I think a closing admin would have trouble knowing what to merge these articles into without a concrete proposal. RevelationDirect (talk) 02:17, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: The current version of Template:Infobox comic book title creates categories with the plural. I don't see any consensus at WP:COMICS and the template keeps getting reverted so let's try assuming that the template is correct and that's what we're using.   • Merge all comic debut by year category There are currently both "comic debuts" and "comics debut" categories for every year in the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s and for several years in the 80s. Personally, I prefer "comic debuts" over "comics debut" but it doesn't matter. One way or the other, these categories must have a consistent name, and all duplicate categories deleted. Since "comics debut" appears to be the more popular choice, the templates should all be set as such, everything should be moved from the "comic debut" cats to the "comics debut" cats and the "comic debut" cats should either be deleted or redirected.
