Nominator's rationale: Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2015_September_17#Category:Writers_who_use_less_punctuation Honestly, Bodhi (talk) 10:15, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Some of the articles don't even mention a kidnapping. The number of articles are few. No other category under the parent category "Writers" has a mention of specific events like "Murdered writers" or "Political writers". --Honestly, Bodhi (talk) 23:40, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep It is part of a category tree on kidnap victims by profession and has nothing to do with punctuation. Dimadick (talk) 07:40, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Why do we even need a by profession tree? —烏Γ (kaw), 08:17, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete non-notable intersection between profession and criminal victimhood. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 18:07, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I think this particular intersection isn't sufficient to be defining. Neutralitytalk 22:23, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete -- In most cases being kidnapped and being a writer seem to be completely unrelated, unless they wrote about their kidnapping in memoirs. Two were Georgian residents of Berlin just after WWII, who were arrested by the Russians in the British sector. As a Georgian, he would have been regarded as a missing Soviet citizen. Whether Soviet police should have bene in the British sector may be questionable: I so not know. A lot of such people got returned to USSR after WWII, perhaps not one of the most glorious aspects of the aftermath of the war. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:47, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete (Listify if wanted) per above. Also, I expected to see Robert Louis Stevenson : ) - jc37 20:25, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:38, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: per Wikipedia:SMALLCAT with only one entry of the main article and other category also at CfD. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 04:09, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom (regardless of the other cfd/afd). Oculi (talk) 11:20, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. We do have numerous categories for albums by performers, both large and small ones. We do not have a category for each performer. Dimadick (talk) 07:42, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - per above. Inter&anthro (talk) 03:40, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete -- the bio-article will make a main article for the albums category if we keep that. If we do not, I would guess the bio should be subject to AFD. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:49, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: keep. If the sole article is ever deleted and the category is thereby emptied, the category can be deleted. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:37, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: per Wikipedia:SMALLCAT with only one entry. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 04:08, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep There's a long-standing agreement/structure to cat albums by bands/individuals, even if they've only released one record, and if the band/individual in question is notable (IE has their own article). Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:05, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep – per Lugnuts and long-standing consensus at cfd. Oculi (talk) 11:20, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note: Wasn't aware of such a consensus. Btw, the only entry Jhoom (album) is also at AfD. Hence please decide this CfD post the AfD's result. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 13:30, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Recommend you withdraw this for now, and if the album is deleted at AfD, this can be speedy deleted. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:15, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep for now. Album categories are an exception to the small article rules and this one has scope for expansion. If the only article is deleted, then re-nominate the category. Dimadick (talk) 07:45, 30 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
