Nominator's rationale: This seems to be a good-faith mixup between Michael J. Leeson (screenwriter) and Michael D. Leeson (songwriter) - see also the category's talkpage for more details. Best evidence for an error is this Discogs discography. As Michael D. Leeson is commonly known as Mike Leeson, the category should be moved back to its original name. The New Zealand 1990 Commemoration Medal was given out to 3,632 people in 1990 to celebrate the anniversary of New Zealand, which is more than 1 award per every 1,000 residents for the entire country. According to the article, recipients "were selected in recognition of the contribution they have made to some aspect of New Zealand life" and I haven't found a more specific criteria. None of these people had anything to do with establishing New Zealand so the medal doesn't seem defining and these people have very little in common with each other, except being residents of New Zealand in 1990. - RevelationDirect (talk) 03:00, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Being a member of the Brunei's royal family is absolutely defining which why we already have Category:Bruneian royalty. Very little information is available on this award but the only two articles in the category are members of the royal family who are already in that royalty category. This doesn't seem defining and is redundant.
