The result of the discussion was: rename. -- Black Falcon (talk) 20:50, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: This is the usual English translation used in books, see Talk:Military Order of William. – Fayenatic London 23:37, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Peterkingiron: The Grand Cross subcategory is problematic but we need a broader discussion about how to handle awards that have some classes that are defining and others that are not. RevelationDirect (talk) 11:32, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Please do not delay closure for my quibble. Peterkingiron (talk) 11:59, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy to match main article. Perfectly acceptable categories given this is one of the main honours of the Netherlands and is clearly awarded for merit. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:01, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Songs written by Drake[edit]

Nominator's rationale: These renames would reinstate the previous names after out-of-process moves. User:Jon Kolbert spent two hours moving these categories on 25 August,[1] instead of holding a discussion after which the work would be done by a bot. The names proposed here would be consistent with the lead article Drake (musician), just like those for most other artists e.g. Category:Madonna (entertainer) songs, see CFD 2014 Nov 24. However, reinstating standard names was opposed at the Speedy page. – Fayenatic London 13:19, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose We don't need tacky over-disambiguation. It's clear that Category:Drake concert tours isn't referring to a male duck on tour. Regards, Jon Kolbert (talk) 16:43, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Jon Kolbert: And you should read C2D above and be cognizant of guidelines before making moves. --Richhoncho (talk) 19:13, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Richhoncho – I'm with Jon Kolbert here: if the base article name has a parenthetic disambiguator, but there's no possible ambiguity in the category name, we don't have to move the category per C2D. Please open a regular CFD request. I think C2D could use some tweaking to that effect, subject to consensus. No such user (talk) 14:26, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename per thousands of cfds (speedy or otherwise) which follow the name of the article. The out-of-process moves by Jon Kolbert should be rolled back and it is Jon Kolbert who should be bringing their preferred names to cfd. Oculi (talk) 14:28, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose there is no ambiguity in the category titles. There is no merit in complicating the titles without necessity - see WP:SHORTFORM. This also wouldn't be "reinstating previous names" because the titles you suggested weren't the original categories. Jon Kolbert (talk) 14:49, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename per nomination Speedy reason for CfD says that Categories should be named after the article (C2D), hence many, many categories are named. It was correct and proper to nominate as a speedy rename as I did. Note that WP:SHORTFORM refers to article namespace and not categories and should be ignored in this discussion. It is also right and proper that the article namespace is considered the correct presentation. hence C2D. --Richhoncho (talk) 15:15, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename Per WP:C2D, facilitating concordance between a particular category's name and a related page's name. The category names should blindly follow the main article name to avoid causing confusion with reader navigation. RevelationDirect 21:12, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename per standard naming protocols. Grutness...wha? 00:52, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support -- I thought this was going to refer to Sir Francis Drake, who is the person I would immediately identify with the name Drake. Peterkingiron (talk) 12:53, 8 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
