The result of the discussion was: merge to parent categories (non-admin closure). Marcocapelle (talk) 07:38, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Over categorisation. Only 1 page links here. Spartaz Humbug! 20:03, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Not seeing the use for one category for one article, The article can be put in a main category (or not one at all). –Davey2010Talk 03:43, 27 March 2018‎

The result of the discussion was: relisted, see here (non-admin closure). Marcocapelle (talk) 07:46, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Is it me or does this category seem kind of arbitrary? Achievements and ingame score are two totally different types of progress. It also has an issue with potentially being too small for a category per WP:SMALLCAT. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 16:36, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose - I feel it should be a sub-cat of Video Game Gameplay (Which probably needs a new name); as you're right. However, I don't agree it's arbitrary. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 08:22, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Tatar topics[edit]

The result of the discussion was: relisted at WP:Categories for discussion/Log/2018 April 13#Category:Tatar_topics. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 06:37, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: rename per main article Tatars and merge because having a separate Category:Tatar peoples next to Category:Tatars would be merely confusing and the amount of content in both categories is fairly limited anyway. Marcocapelle (talk) 09:41, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That rename was a CFD in 2008 with very limited participation and things have changed since then (e.g. a category referred to in that discussion has since been deleted/renamed). DexDor (talk) 08:36, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I an not wedded to the name if you can suggest a better one. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:43, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: no consensus. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 11:47, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: More accurate description of what is in the category. Was moved here by accident a while back, then reverted, but I think "games" is more WP:CONSISTENT. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 08:56, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

Category:Monsters[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: keep as a parent category. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 11:53, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: This category is supposedly a subset of Category:Legendary creatures, meaning it's supposed to only contain monsters from mythology and legend. However, a large number of articles in it are actually from popular culture, fantasy and folklore. I think splitting it would solve the problem, with Category:Fictional monsters becoming a subcategory of Category:Fictional life forms instead. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 08:53, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

  • Relisting comment, I had closed this discussion and split the category as far as I could, but the remaining articles belong in neither Category:Mythological monsters nor in Category:Fictional monsters and the subcategory Category:Monsters in fiction contains articles and subcategories that may fit in either Category:Mythological monsters or in Category:Fictional monsters, so we are a bit stuck here. I am reopening the discussion and would suggest to leave the category alone in its current shape. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:10, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment In several cases, the fictional works are adaptations of older mythologies, urban legends, etc. The difference is not that clear-cut. Dimadick (talk) 16:16, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Zxcvbnm and 91.124.117.29: pinging earlier participants of discussion. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:10, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Marcocapelle, I agree with leaving it in its current state and keeping this category as a (largely depopulated) parent of the mythology and fictional categories - I'll admit it's a dubious category name, but - other than double-catting those remaining articles - it would be the most logical place for them. Grutness...wha? 02:04, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Marcocapelle, I also agree with leaving Category:Monsters in its current state and keeping this category as a parent. 91.124.117.29 (talk) 00:12, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: Delete (WP:NAC). --DexDor (talk) 07:37, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Newly created, not a proper category — TAnthonyTalk 04:44, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Remove This has been set up as a redirect to a list article, but that does not work. We already have Category:Star Wars characters and so not need this. I am not suggesting keeping as a category-redirect to that, as it is not a likely search term. However the list article might make a good main article for the existing category. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:04, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • either delete or rename to Category:Lists of Star Wars characters (plural, decapped, and dequoted) iff there are other lists which fit the category. Grutness...wha? 02:07, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Just seems to be created in error. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 00:17, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
