Nominator's rationale: The category's creator has admitted at Category talk:Tajikistani orientalists that The term "Orientalist" is problematic, yet he had previously set up these two categories with only one member article. – Fayenatic London 11:49, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Rename/Delete/Merge. Timrollpickering 18:47, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Category:Grammarians of Arabic was recently speedily renamed to Category:Linguists of Arabic, as part of a batch [1] that belatedly implemented my close at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2015_September_17#Grammarians_categories. IMHO the Arabic category need/ought not to have been renamed, as the "Grammarians" hierarchy was to be kept for ancient languages. Category:Linguists of Arabic should be renamed back to Grammarians, then redirected to Category:Arabists. There is no hierarchy for "Oriental languages"; in article space, that term redirects to Languages of Asia. Category:Arabic lexicographers is a new category that could be ambiguous, because there is also Category:Arab lexicographers for lexicographers from the Arab world. As for the lexicologists categories, these are also new, and no members have been added that are specifically described as lexicologists; the two articles are about lexicographers and grammarians. Finally, "Lexicographists" is a misnomer for Category:Lexicographers. – Fayenatic London 10:07, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Eponymous category for a musician who doesn't have the volume of spinoff content needed to warrant one. As always, every musician does not automatically get one of these the moment he has the standard albums category + songs category + BLP + navbox -- musicians get eponymous categories only in highly rarefied situations where there's a lot of additional content that needs artist-related categorization outside the standard categorization schemes that every artist already has. The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 14:19, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: delete, this concerns a non-defining characteristic. It is perfectly suitable for listification, the list already exists: Commanders who never lost a battle. Marcocapelle (talk) 04:32, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete and listify per nom. Place Clichy (talk) 14:48, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • What counts as a battle? Plenty of military commanders have never fought a battle. Rathfelder (talk) 15:29, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
