Nominator's rationale: DAB from Category:Stones and Category:Stone, Staffordshire and the other many uses at Stone (disambiguation). Note that Stone (and Stones) redirects to Rock (geology) while the rock is a countable noun and thus in the plural the material is a mass noun and isn't. Category:Stone should become a DAB category. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:12, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support nom's reasonable rationale. Per WP:CONCISE, why have a dab parenthetical qualifier when one is not needed?--Doug Mehus T·C 18:43, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Reduces ambiguity. Ikluft (talk) 03:14, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Moved main article Bar-Kays per WP:THE since they seldom use "The" on their albums and such. Dicklyon (talk) 02:57, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Yes they did often drop the 'the' but they also used the 'the', they also dropped the hyphen too, does that mean we have to move it again? --Richhoncho (talk) 08:25, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • In (this) case of doubt, I would rather drop "The". Marcocapelle (talk) 11:33, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Note. I have just put in an RM to have the article namespace to be moved back the The Bar-Kays. It was moved on the assumption that a) the artwork 'sometimes' omits the 'the' and an RfC that has since being overturned. --Richhoncho (talk) 10:32, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Crater lakes[edit]

Nominator's rationale: Rename ambiguous use of crater to include the type of crater (volcanic) in the name as in its description text; also retain Category:Crater lakes as a disambiguation to impact & volcanic crater lakes categories. This is part of the ongoing cleanup of ambiguous uses of the term "crater" as described in the "Categorization of craters" essay. Ikluft (talk) 07:20, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename – Rationale makes sense, as the new name reduces ambiguity. Senator2029 “Talk” 08:40, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename - Seems like a reasonable suggestion. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 09:54, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support provided someone purges this of impact crater lakes. It might be better for this to be handled manually by crating the target and categorising into it, after which this can be deleted (upmerging the new subcats) as a redundant layer. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:19, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I already went through the list at impact crater lake (list merged from crater lake which is now a disambiguation) and recategorized any of them which were in Category:Crater lakes to Category:Annular lakes, since its description allows impact lakes even if not fully ring shaped. Only 2 got recategorized in that; most weren't in either and needed to be added to Category:Annular lakes. I'll do a quicker scan of Category:Crater lakes using the mouseover popup summaries. Ikluft (talk) 19:09, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Done I scanned over 250 articles in Category:Crater lakes by looking at the mouseover summaries and found no more impact craters after my previous recategorization of ones listed in impact crater lake. I found 5 to remove from the category per WP:DEFINING on articles about whole provinces or islands which had much more content than just a volcano. Some others were recategorized as Category:Landslide-dammed lakes and Category:Rift lakes. The article for Lake Chagan was recategorized in Category:Artificial lakes because there is no category for nuclear explosion crater lakes, and won't be per WP:SMALL. (At least I hope there won't ever be enough of them to justify a category.) So call the cleanup of non-volcanic crater lakes from the category done. Nominator's rationale: Change from obscure usage to common usage following same renaming of main article impact crater lake, which also received a merge of list of impact crater lakes from the ambiguously-named crater lake article. See "Categorization of craters" essay for related cleanup of ambiguous use of "craters". Ikluft (talk) 07:06, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Marvel Comics Eternals[edit]

The result of the discussion was: rename. MER-C 19:11, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: I moved this category yesterday and didn't get around to moving the current pages to the new category (or have a bot do that) before it was reverted back. This category should exist at simply "Eternals", as no other category exists here (outside of the one I already created), and there also isn't simply an "Eternal" either. It could also be "Eternals (Marvel Comics)" but because as was stated nothing else exists at the categories without the disambiguation, "Eternals" should be fine. There also are no other characters from other comic publishers to need the "Marvel Comics", and being simply "Eternals" would be in line with other groups from Marvel Comics such as Category:Inhumans. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:18, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename per nom. There are no other Eternals. Dimadick (talk) 14:09, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Talk pages of pages converted to redirects[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: rename. MER-C 19:12, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Per WP:CONCISE, and WP:CONSISTENT with {{Talk page of redirect}}, and WP:PRECISE in a sense, in that the current name isn't entirely accurate since the template is also used on talk pages (where they exist) of pages that originated as redirects but which have some reason to have a talk page, like a survived-RfD template, or whatever. It really doesn't have anything to do with "conversion". This arguably qualifies for speedy renaming (agreement of category name and the title of the main page to which it refers), but this move will necessitate the updating of at least that template and possibly some other things (e.g. bots that do things with maint. categories), so a regular CfR seems warranted.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  03:36, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename. Agree that the proposed is a more appropriate name. --Bsherr (talk) 06:00, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename per nom, WP:CONCISE and WP:CONSISTENT. Ikluft (talk) 07:50, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename – New name is a simpler and better descriptor of the category. Senator2029 “Talk” 08:45, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename per nom. I was just coming here to propose renaming this category per this discussion.Doug Mehus T·C 16:09, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retain and create Category:Talk pages of redirects as a parent category. "Talk pages of pages converted to redirects" is a designation of page history that would be lost by merging into a category of all redirect talk pages, of which it deserves to be a subset. There's no reason for us to jettison fidelity - if there's a mismatch due to the way a template is used, it should be resolved there instead.  — Scott talk 14:10, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename if somebody wants to create a separate template for talk pages of pages *converted* to redirects (or with significant history), be my guest ... a rename and sort is probably the best way to fix the mismatch. I got here from a message on my talk page. Graham87 03:32, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • I asked Graham to chip in as he has a lot of wikiarcheology experience. Thanks Graham, I'm okay with that as well.  — Scott talk 20:11, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
