Nominator's rationale: selectively merge (only when applicable), this is neither a nationality nor an ethnicity category, the Princely County of Gorizia and Gradisca was just a tiny subdivision of Austria-Hungary. Marcocapelle (talk) 17:43, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • The renaming of the target is based on a misunderstanding of that category. It is for people from the Italian city of Gorizia, including modern people. (Having said that, the nominated category also contains modern people who happened to be born shortly before 1918 when Austria-Hungary ceased to exist.) Nominator's rationale: merge, the two categories are overlapping in scope. We may create Category:People from the county of Gorizia afterwards but that is largely unrelated to the limited content of the nominated category. Marcocapelle (talk) 17:22, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
