The result of the discussion was: delete. plicit 01:41, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: delete, hypothetically this category can easily be populated, since Köprülü era is the second half of the 17th century, but it would not be a defining characteristic. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:41, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as too specific. All three articles have appropriate categories relating to Ottoman Empire at appropriate dates. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:24, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Redirects from Uyghur-language terms[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: Rename. – Fayenatic London 16:04, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Module:Lang is used by {{R from alternative language}} to determine the language name for the categories to populate. The name for the language per Module:Lang is Uighur instead of Uyghur, so the category Category:Redirects from Uyghur-language terms will always be empty and due to Category:Redirects from Uighur-language terms being red-linked until a few minutes ago, it would default any redirects with language code ug to the less precise Category:Redirects from non-English-language terms. As this category, with the current status of Module:Lang will always be empty, it should be deleted. TartarTorte 14:27, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Villages in Ternopil Oblast by hromada[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: merge. plicit 01:31, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: merge, redundant category layer with only one subcategory. We usually do not categorize Villages by municipality so I have my doubts about the subcategory too. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:36, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I nominated the subcategory here. If that goes ahead this category will become empty. Marcocapelle (talk) 09:02, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge Category:Proposed public policies and Category:Possible future political events into Category:Public policy proposals. plicit 01:37, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: I think the current title of this category is not too professional-souding. We could get a better title. All articles in this category are recent events. My proposal could be better I believe, but I think it could go along the lines of "Hypothetical". We could also expand the scope of this category to include all potential political events that did not take place, or delete it. Super Ψ Dro 22:51, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure if they have the same scope. Super Ψ Dro 09:32, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Category:100 best films in the history of Ukrainian cinema[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: delete. plicit 01:37, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Overcategorization by list, on the basis of inclusion in an organization's proprietary Top 100 films list. List of the 100 best films in the history of Ukrainian cinema already exists, and has considerably more bluelinked films in it (56) than have actually been filed here (10) -- but we have an established rule that having been named to other organizations' subjective ranking lists isn't an appropriate basis for a category.
