Nominator's rationale: Category contains only User:WikiMacaroons/AutoShortDesc and User:WikiMacaroons/AutoShortDesc/Userbox. As the userbox is unused, this category is effectively empty. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 21:50, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: rename to Category:Pizza in New York City. (non-admin closure) Extraordinary Writ (talk) 22:57, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: For consistency, per Pizza in the United States, Pizza in China, Pizza in Portland, Oregon, etc. --Another Believer (Talk) 15:20, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge (non-admin closure) Marcocapelle (talk) 06:54, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Only one article, so it does not make sense to have a separate article for Bosnia unless it can be populated. (t · c) buidhe 07:23, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete (non-admin closure) Marcocapelle (talk) 06:57, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Unnecessary container category. The only content is "Forced disappearances in Northern Ireland‎" which is already in "Forced disappearances by country" (NI is a country). (t · c) buidhe 07:22, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • not support according to the language used in the United Kingdom, it comprises 4 'nations', not 'countries', including Northern Ireland. To say otherwise is inserting personal language into WP Hmains (talk) 18:02, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete -- Until there is some content relating to other parts of UK, this is a pointless category. The question of whether NI is a country is too esoteric for an unnecessary split to be made. We should avoid nit-picking distinctions in creating categories. Peterkingiron (talk) 18:55, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. * Pppery * it has begun... 03:39, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge (non-admin closure) Marcocapelle (talk) 07:03, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Only one article, so I do not think it makes sense to keep a separate category for Uzbekistan unless it can be populated. (t · c) buidhe 07:21, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: merge (non-admin closure) Marcocapelle (talk) 07:11, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Only two articles, it is unclear if there are any more notable cases of enforced disappearance in Laos. I don't agree with upmerging to any of the other categories because both articles are individual people, so it would not make sense. (t · c) buidhe 07:16, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: Rename and move Classical mystics up into parent. – Fayenatic London 22:29, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Avoid euphemism Editor2020 (talk) 01:30, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support -- better reflects actual content. Peterkingiron (talk) 18:57, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - subcat of Category:People by religion. Also there is Category:Categories by religion but not Category:Categories by tradition. Oculi (talk) 18:59, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strongly oppose/ Keep' The existing category is broader than 'by religion'. It contains even now 2-3 entries that are not clearly religions: Classical mystics (=philosophers), new religions/sects (collection of small religions) and Kabbbalists (a very special side branch of Jewish tradition, more a philosophy than a religious rite). --Just N. (talk) 20:49, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and per Oculi, and purge classical mystics which obviously do not belong in a religious category. Perhaps the classical mystics category should be nominated for renaming or deletion, the word "mystic" is normally reserved for religious people.
