Nominator's rationale: The subject is often credited as "Biff Stannard" or Richard "Biff" Stannard. This is common name so makes sense to rename, rather than include a dab (there are other targets called Richard Stannard). Additionally, there's no evidence that Stannard is more prolific as a songwriter than producer (he does both), hence Songs written by Richard Stannard (record producer) and Songs written by Richard Stannard (musician) weren't suggested. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 21:22, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The suggested title is a composite name, being created from the name of the man and the name of his business and would be no assistance to navigation, taking us further away from any recognisable title. Biffco is also an umbrella term used by other songwriters/producers. The nomination is a bit like suggesting that “Richard “Virgin” Branson would be acceptable. There is a redirect for Richard Stannard (songwriter) and that should be acceptable. Given that the difference between songwriter and music producer is becoming closer, I doubt I would have objections along those lines, i.e. music producer. What is actually surprising that Stannard doesn’t have his own article, appear on TV once and you get an article, shape the British music industry and get ignored. --Richhoncho (talk) 22:23, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, leaning oppose: Based on what I've read on liner notes, Stannard's real name is usually used for writing while his "Biff" nickname is often included when he's credited as a producer, although I have encountered several exceptions. Nominator's rationale: Category which is misrepresentative of its contents. The entries here are syndicated commercial radio programs which do happen (or did happen, because some of them are defunct) to originate on stations owned by Corus Entertainment -- but Corus is an ownership group, not a "network", and the programs here can or could in fact air on any commercial radio station that wants to buy them regardless of whether it's owned by Corus, Rogers, Bell Media, Pattison, Stingray, Cogeco, Rawlco, Golden West or Vista. So "Corus Entertainment" isn't really an important point of commonality here -- what's significant is that they're syndicated to multiple radio stations which are or were not necessarily all co-owned by Corus, not that Corus is or was the owner of their originating stations per se. guys, the problem is that the articles on the Syrian Civil War form a rather dense thicket. there are articles on literally every military engagement and every faction, and also on many conflcts between factions, which are not even pat of the main conflict itself. that is why these articles on contemporary events need to be grouped in this manner.
"major phases" is self-explanatory. there are numerous categories which have a clear meaning, which is self-evident in their title. the question of what constitutes "major phases" is best answered by reading the content of the articles themselves, on this specific conflict, and set of events.
Forget about the word "major"; just focus upon the word "phases". the word "phases itself refers to a significant time period within the conflict itself, so based upon that, i would suggest we simply rename this category. perhapos someone a few years from now will be able to consolidate the many articles in this topical area. however, for this categoy does indeed serve a specific and valid purpose.
