- Nominator's rationale: We should split this category. Maluku Islands and Western New Guinea are not similar areas. Furthermore current title actually contains Papua New Guinea too. Because I already separated Category:Populated places in Western New Guinea to categorize populated places in newly separated provinces in Western New Guinea, we should move Category:Populated places in the Maluku Islands and New Guinea to Category:Populated places in the Maluku Islands. - @Sharouser: the category can probably be deleted, because the subcategories are already part of Category:Populated places in Indonesia by province. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:53, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
