Nominator's rationale: Too little content to pass WP:OCEPON for what amounts to a single subcategory. Not everything under Category:Songs by songwriter also needs an eponymous parent category. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 21:52, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, the two articles in the category are already directly interlinked. Marcocapelle (talk) 04:56, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: per WP:OCEPON, parent category not needed here. Richard3120 (talk) 02:17, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Propose deleting:

Nominator's rationale: All of these were created by the same editor. This appears to be a hierarchy for categorizing films, TV, etc. that aren't based on preexisting works, We already have the inverse of this (the various "Works based on works" subcategories), so categories specifically for original works seems unnecessary. Trivialist (talk) 21:52, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I changed from "Works based on works" to "Works with screenplays based on works" in the "Works with screenplays" section. Animation231 (talk) 22:07, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Animation231: I apologize; I may not have been clear. These categories aren't necessary, because we already have categories for things that *are* based on other works. We don't need to have categories for the exact opposite. Also, I think it's assumed that works are original unless otherwise specified, so it's not necessary to specify that they're original. Trivialist (talk) 22:12, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I made the categories: "Animated films with original screenplays", "Animated films with screenplays", "Animated television series with original screenplays", "Animation with original screenplays", "Animation with screenplays", "Anime with screenplays", "Films with original screenplays", "Films with screenplays", "Television films with original screenplays", "Television films with screenplays", "Television series with original screenplays", "Television series with screenplays", "Television shows with original screenplays", "Television shows with screenplays", "Works with original screenplays" and "Works with screenplays" because I knew this. For Adaptions, previously published material are adapted into films and television shows. For Original Ideas, films and television shows are made directly for the screen and were not based on previously published material. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Animation231 (talkcontribs) 22:22, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Liz: They were all listed but the category creator, Animation231, inexplicably removed them. They have been restored. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 23:32, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars, I appreciate the explanation, thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 17:34, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Very common and non-defining. - RevelationDirect (talk) 02:13, 11 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Anyway, I agree with the rationale to delete. Non-defining and really just unnecessary. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 16:54, 14 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think this one can be closed as the category creator has emptied all the nominated categories. There doesn't seem to be any further opposition to delete. Thanks. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 17:28, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Redundant to Category:Independence results, which already includes both Continuum hypothesis and the target of Borel conjecture (set theory). –LaundryPizza03 (d) 12:57, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge, moving the article to Category:Romanian judges (non-admin closure) Marcocapelle (talk) 05:32, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Only one article. Magistrate is a rather vague term and we dont seem to have any information about what exactly it signified in Romania - and in any case the Romanian legal system clearly changed a lot over time. Quite a few Romanian lawyers are described as magistrates, but not categorised as such. Rathfelder (talk) 09:08, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I support deletion, but in actual fact Oromolu should probably be recategorised in Category:Romanian judges, as I suspect, reading the article, that "magistrate" and "judge" mean pretty much the same thing in this context. In many European legal systems the judiciary is a separate career path which people join direct from law school, unlike the English-speaking world where judges are selected from experienced practising lawyers and magistrates are often part-timers who are not even qualified lawyers. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:16, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support because Oromulu served as state attorney for a time, but he also needs to be Category:Romanian judges. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:31, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge (non-admin closure) Marcocapelle (talk) 05:37, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEF as an unnecessary cross-categorization. Many of these organizations are part of multimedia franchises and while they began in a video game, they need not be sorted by being in a video game. Organizations in other media aren't sorted in this way. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 08:48, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
