Nominator's rationale: I can't find any evidence of this role existing, and there is no mention of "Alderman" in François Bellot, the one article in this category. This category has also been created by a sockpuppet. --Ferien (talk) 16:29, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment, in the article Municipalities of Belgium, "aldermen" is used as translation of "schepenen" in Dutch. The schepenen, together with the mayor, are the executive local government of a municipality. But it is not meaningful to vote for keeping the category if it is factually empty.   • Comment -- We discourage articles on those who are merely local politicians. The one person categorised would belong in City councillors in Belgium, which seems to be what is meant here, but his notability is for having served at a higher level of politics.   • "Avoid categorizing people by their personal opinions, ...", says the guideline. That is pretty clear, isn't it? The fact that not all white supremacists support lynching is not relevant for the merge, there would only be an issue if not all lynching defenders would be white supremacists. Delete Merge as a standard application of WP:OPINIONCAT, defending lynching is obviously an expression of opinion. Marcocapelle (talk) 17:28, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge Category should be deleted according to WP:OPINIONCAT. It's also not a defining characteristic in many pages' lead sections, and WP:NONDEF may apply.
