Nominator's rationale: Is this really a defining category for these individuals? I could be persuaded to support the category if the scope was explicitly limited to those individuals where this fact is somehow significant. DonIago (talk) 19:54, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Keep, IMHO earning a high school diploma is defining, even if through non-traditional means, or maybe even especially if done this way. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk)
  • Delete, this is a trivial characteristic for the people in this category. If kept, rename to General Educational Development graduates as more specific. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:27, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete -- we have high school alumni category, but this is for those who got their high school qualification outside any high school. I regard this as a category for a NN qualification. The alumni category is about local pride, but this is wholly unlocated. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:06, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: 'Non-sovereign countries' could mean anything, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of non-sovereign countries. Privybst (talk) 15:45, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Keep Non-sovereign country is clearly defined in the category page and the page List of non-sovereign countries

  • @Privybst, Titus Gold, Chipmunkdavis, and Sirfurboy: what do you think of my suggestion above? Marcocapelle (talk) 05:41, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Category:Countries with multiple official languages could exist. But content of the Category:Non-sovereign countries with multiple official languages should not be there, they are not 'countries', i. e. sovereign states. Privybst (talk) 05:55, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your efforts in attempting a compromise, although I don't think this works unfortunately. Firstly, I think the definition of "official languages" is highly problematic To take one example, Wales has a Welsh language act that puts Welsh on an equal status with English, but English is not formally an official language of the UK. The definition of "official" would need unpacking and simply listing countries that use two languages as having two or more official languages is OR. The second issue is the definition of country, which also lacks an official definition. English usage certainly does allow countries that are non sovereign states, because several equivocal definitions of countries exist. Scotland is a country in the UK (a state). However people also speak of the UK as a country, taking a different definition of country. Attempting to tie down the definition of "country" also requires WP:OR. For this reason, I have sympathy with the intent of this category, and indeed, with your helpful efforts at compromise, but I remain of the opinion that it can't usefully be applied here and should be deleted. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 07:13, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The other category doesn't meet WP:CATDEF either, and keeping the same inclusion criteria will maintain the existing Synth. CMD (talk) 14:14, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Rename Timrollpickering (talk) 11:02, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Mirrors move made boldly at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications by Johnnycorns5354, who noted common usage. (Note related policy, however: MOS:INITIALS) {{u|Sdkb}}talk 15:45, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Rename Timrollpickering (talk) 11:02, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Also proposing renaming Category:Vermont Law School alumni to Category:Vermont Law and Graduate School alumni. These changes mirror the move at the school's article made boldly by after it renamed itself. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 15:37, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Work management software[edit]

The result of the discussion was: Delete Timrollpickering (talk) 11:04, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: 'Work management software' is a neologism - it is a branding term used by a few companies for their Project management software. On Wikipedia the term is a redirect to project management software. I went through the cat looking for entries that didn't belong in project management, but they all did - in fact everything was in both cats. I depopulated as I went through. Since these terms are synonyms, this category is redundant and should be deleted. Also Category:Work management, which is a parent category that only contains this subcat and is similarly redundant with Project management. MrOllie (talk) 13:45, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support; nomination seems reasonable. A {{Category redirect}} should be left behind to avoid someone recreating it in the future. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 15:49, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment As stated, this category has been emptied. Liz Read! Talk! 01:09, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Rename to Category:Narcissism writers Timrollpickering (talk) 11:03, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: rename, "academics" in the category title is redundant as we know them being on narcissism through their writings. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:35, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
