The result of the discussion was: Rename Timrollpickering (talk) 12:05, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: The only articles in this eponymous category are for members of the group and should be renamed as such and added to the Category:Musicians by band tree. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 22:19, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Merge. A sub category Category:Anti-immigration activists can be created to handle the concerns raised here Timrollpickering (talk) 12:09, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: It is very difficult to make a distinction between activism and politics in the case of anti-immigration organizations. User:Namiba 17:22, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Relisting comment: Purge or split?

Category:Deaths from dementia[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: merge. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 14:53, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Neither place nor cause of death are defining where the cause is common. I think there is general agreement that these country subdivision categories should go, so I am proposing mergers up to country level (there are more to come). We can then consider whether the the country level categories should go too. Rathfelder (talk) 19:21, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Technically it should be a triple merge, also to e.g. Category:Deaths from cancer in São Paulo (state) and Category:Neurological disease deaths in São Paulo (state). While I agree with country subdivision categories for diseases to go, I am not a fan of this gradual upmerge process. If the process gets stuck halfway for whatever reason the articles will remain in no less than three cause of death categories. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:52, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose "Neither place nor cause of death are defining" They are far more defining than trivia about a person's religion or ideology. Dimadick (talk) 13:27, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • For most natural deaths among elderly people there are multiple causes, and very rarely do they have any bearing on what makes people notable. I quite agree that there are other trivial categories but I dont see that they imply we should keep these. Rathfelder (talk) 20:19, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

  • Support per nom. Dividing deaths as such is overcategorization by a non-defining characteristic.--User:Namiba 13:02, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Keep Timrollpickering (talk) 12:07, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: No siblings. There's no Category:2022 elections in Metro Manila or 2019 elections in Calabarzon. —hueman1 (talk contributions) 05:46, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Recently made siblings for the category. Siuhl10 (talk) 07:21, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
