Where is the issue taking place?
...Talk:List of publications in philosophy
Who's involved?
...user:Buridan and myself
What's going on?
...I added content to an article Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology. As part of my edit, I added a link in the Epistemology section of the List of publications in philosophy to the article I'd edited. I also included the article in a couple of categories - Philosophy books, Branches of philosophy, and Epistemology. user:Buridan reverted all links, left no messages on the talk pages and just made an edit remark that it was "ideology not philosophy." We got into an edit-war. He began leaving messages on the discussion pages, but they were often disrespectful. He asked for citations which I supplied and he continues to remove the links. I attempted to generate support/consensus with comments on Bduke's talk page and on the talk page at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Philosophy.

What would you like to change about that?
...I'm being fought not for changing an article but rather making a link to an article - a link that is appropriate. I have supplied requested citations and I'm now trying my best to work within the system properly to get the links put back instead of that silly edit-war business. I think that there are more things that can be done to difuse tensions and accomodate different POV in a neutral fashion. But not if people can be that arbitrary.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
...Discreetly? What ever you think most efficient. You can reach me at AnislandGuy (at) hotmail (dot) com (p.s., please don't let the email addr get into a place where spammers could 'bot' it up.) Thanks,

Mediator response[edit]

I'll actively be checking out this case. Any sort of discussion will mostlikely either take place on my talk page or on the article talk page itself. --The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake 07:21, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I've done the best I can... but I'll leave what's left of this content dispute in the hands of everybody else. --The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake 23:25, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
