Not a helpful or useful redirect. The redirect name is not one that's common or applied in sources for anyone to search for when seeking the target article, which itself is a descriptive title. Griboski (talk) 16:08, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep This redirect applies the use of the word "genocide" for the same reason the "genocide question" section was created on the target article. I'd argue that it isn't unlikely somebody seeking an article like this would begin with "genocide of ..." followed by whatever group (Albanians in this case). This redirect was incorrectly created. Platformers do not encompass all 2D games. I suggest deletion as out of scope for where it points. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 18:24, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • delete clearly not. Some platformers uses 3D graphics, many non-platformers uses 2D graphics. We've currently got Talk:Cultural Catholic, which is a standalone talk page from before when an article was merged (the article was merged into Cultural Christians, which is where Cultural catholic currently points). However, this redirect goes elsewhere, to the talk page of a different article entirely.

I think that the redirect should either go to Talk:Cultural Catholic or Talk:Cultural Christian, but I'm unsure which is better because of the wrinkle of the one being an article-space redirect to the other but maintaining a separate talk page. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 14:51, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've created a shorter title for the target but is the "grade A producer of grapes" really only associated with Port vineyards in the Douro? JMWt (talk) 19:37, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note that the target was moved to Douro quinta classification after the redirect was nominated, so the redirect did not update. There is a US "A" grade for canned grapes; the USDA grades all whole grapes by number grades ("No. 1", etc.) or by terms like "extra fancy" and "fancy export". At least Canada and Australia grade by numbers as well, though I can't say exclusively. I'm finding it difficult to find any official sources on grape grading; most end up in subjective discussions about the quality of wines produced by the grapes rather than the actual fruit's quality, as well as several wineries with their own grading system. This is not a pagemove redirect and on the balance I think it would be best to delete, due to the potential for confusion and surprise. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:07, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what you wrote is accurate, but most sites on the web which mention her are likely to be considered unreliable sources. Another possibility is she failed to show for an audition and her group went through, but with Geri Halliwell taking her place. It's not as if she was like Pete Best (The Beatles) who was actually a performing musician. Would you advocate all of the other 'nearly' Spice Girls get a mention? I can't find any indication of any involvement in the music industry other than almost being a Spice Girl. I still think she is not notable and still say Delete. 2A00:23C2:8B08:E501:F50F:AAEE:237A:FF84 (talk) 05:27, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Her name redirects to the Spice_Girls article. She is not mentioned in the article. Her claim to fame is that she auditioned (but was not a member) of ''Touch'', a band that went on to become the Spice Girls. Her inclusion in Category:Musicians from Sheffield appears to be spurious. I can't find any evidence that she has had a successful career in music. Delete 2A00:23C2:8B08:E501:F50F:AAEE:237A:FF84 (talk) 04:48, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and expand article - there's not much, but Gulf News has an article just about Tinker and her auditions for the group that later became the Spice Girls. The source could be used to describe Tinker being selected for the final round of auditions but failing to attend because of the bomb scare in the Tube, and how her absence forced the group to hold new auditions in which Geri Halliwell was selected. That seems like relevant info to the band's history. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 15:34, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My social life has suffered for the last couple of years due to family commitments. I'm going to be resuming my normal habits in a few weeks which means I'll be hanging out with musician friends again who have had various degrees of success. A couple of them have had TV appearances, some success locally, nationally, and internationally with another (wiki listed) band referencing them in a couple of songs. Another of them has had a very successful career, playing with the likes of Count Basie and being the member of an internationally known group for more than a couple of years performing on one of the best-selling albums in the United Kingdom, as well as spending some time as a university music lecturer. (He does get a mention in a wiki article). I would never consider creating an entry for any of them with redirects to bands they have played with or bands that have referenced them in songs. As things stand Suzanne Tinker appears in Category:Musicians from Sheffield. The main reason the redirect is in place is because her (non signed) career is not notable. I just think the bar is set too low if the redirect (and her subsequent inclusion in Category:Musicians from Sheffield) remains in place. She was a Wannabe Spice Girl who sings in a bar somewhere. • Delete: If someone tried to put the GulfNews piece in the article, it would be taken right back out again; everything in it comes from an interview of Tinker, with no sign of it being independently vetted. • Keep. IMDB describes this as a nickname, and every single result for "La Lohan" is about the target. I've not found a reliable source that makes the connection in an easily citable way, but e.g. [1], [2] and [3] use "La Lohan" in the headline and "Lindsey Lohan" in the body, New York Magazine uses it as a tag[4] for articles about her but doesn't use it in the prose. Someone using this search term is unambiguously looking for the target, and while a mention would be good it's not essential. Thryduulf (talk) 10:26, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Herbal_smoking_blends&redirect=no Herbal Smoking Blends to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthetic_cannabinoids.

This redirect makes no sense and is simply inaccurate. I recommend it be removed for this reason. The redirect makes no sense, such as redirecting "Apple" to "Orange". (Speedy deletion criterion G1 may apply.)

Herbal Smoking Blends are not "Synthetic Cannabinoids". Simply do a google search for herbal smoking blends. Thank you for your consideration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SleepySusan (talkcontribs) 01:59, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Herbal cigarette which is the (much poorer than I expected) article we have about this topic. Thryduulf (talk) 10:39, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why would you redirect herbal smoking blends to herbal cigarettes? Are herbal cigarettes used for tea? Herbal Smoking Blends are not herbal cigarettes. Just remove the redirect. SleepySusan (talk) 13:37, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect when the topic is left people will start adding content. This is the first time I have contributed here so I am very new to this, but redirecting a topic just because no one had added content yet does not seem to be a good thing to do. SleepySusan (talk) 14:07, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to herbal cigarette per Thryduulf. From Google, it seems that an "herbal smoking blend" is a mixture of herbs and other plant matter, which may or may not contain tobacco but evidently never contain cannabis, which are smoked for various therapeutic effects. I don't see any indication of them being used for tea, although their content suggests they could be used to brew a tisane. The only real difference I can see from herbal cigarettes is that the cigarettes are sold prepackaged and ready to smoke, while the smoking blend products are sold loose and meant to be rolled by the user, like dried flower cannabis. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 15:43, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Tisane is herbal tea. Herbal smoking blends used as tea are called herbal teas or tisane. It says right in your linked content that tisane is herbal tea. There is more than just a little indication they are used as tea. Herbal Smoking Blends and Teas Smoking and Tea Herbs Herbal Blends Organic Relaxing Herbal Smokable Tea Blend I could like dozens more. Yes, herbal cigarettes are made with herbs, as is herbal tea, but they are all different products. One problem with this forward suggestion is that herbal smoking blends are far more popular than herbal cigarettes. Another thing that makes this forward suggestion seem odd is the fact that herbal cigarettes are herbal smoking blends pre-rolled into cigarettes. Herbal cigarettes are made from herbal smoking blends. If anything, herbal cigarettes should be forwarded into herbal smoking blends. SleepySusan (talk) 18:05, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to herbal cigarette. A "herbal smoking blend" is evidently used for smoking, as opposed to a "herbal blend", which is not what we're discussing. A herbal smoking blend might be used in a pipe, but we don't have an article about that, or a mention at Pipe smoking. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 22:02, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
