December 2021[edit]

  1. CAcert.org: nominated at AfD; notified 202.93.188.13 (talk · contribs) 19:14, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested WP:PROD. Not a notable topic, clearly written as an advertisement and relying on primary sourcing.

January 2022[edit]

  1. Clean Energy for a Healthy Arizona Committee: nominated at AfD; notified HouseBlaster (talk · contribs) 16:52, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NORG. This org was set up to pass Prop 127 in the 2018 elections and has had no significant, lasting impact. The proposition failed, and doesn't have its own Wiki article.
  2. Valeriy I. Potapenko: nominated at AfD; notified Goldengeorg (talk · contribs) 17:12, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable subject created by a single-purpose account. Article created the same day a different version was deleted multiple times and SALTed at Valeriy Potapenko.
  3. Catherine P. Saxton: nominated at AfD; notified Jororo (talk · contribs) 22:53, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable publicist. Sources present do not establish notability.
  4. Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida: nominated at AfD; notified Cedceggn (talk · contribs) 23:12, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested WP:PROD. No clear significance, minimal sourcing. Does not appear to meet WP:GNG.
  5. Bianca Bonnie: nominated at AfD; notified Fanficgurl (talk · contribs) 19:02, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable musician and reality TV personality. Sourcing does not establish WP:GNG.
  6. Template:Sugar Land Space Cowboys: nominated at TfD; notified Paleorthodox (talk · contribs) 23:41, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:NENAN. This one only contains the main page link, a link to their ballpark, links to two sections on the main page, and a link to a category.

February 2022[edit]

  1. Category:Millennials: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified TheWikipedian05 (talk · contribs) 18:35, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not a defining characteristic. We don't know that any of these people identify as "millennials".
  2. Geneva Gay: nominated at AfD; notified Knitter21 (talk · contribs) 00:37, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable individual. Fails WP:GNG and WP:PROF. Some concern of it being an autobiography.

March 2022[edit]

  1. Category:People who died on their birthdays: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Abdurhman Ahmad (talk · contribs) 18:42, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a non-defining piece of trivia.
  2. Umair Haque: nominated at AfD; notified Midlakewinter (talk · contribs) 18:08, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This biography was somehow deleted via PROD in 2015, brought back via WP:RFUD in 2019, and then deleted via PROD again in 2021. I just restored it at RFUD the second time specifically so that I could initiate this AfD to settle notability via discussion. The page deleted in 2015 is superior to the current version but I agree it fails to establish WP:GNG.
  3. Marina Ovsyannikova: nominated at AfD; notified Ymblanter (talk · contribs) 20:17, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:BIO1E at this point. I salute her, but there is no indication that this minor event will have lasting implications.

April 2022[edit]

  1. Category:Korean Players Texas Rangers: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified TexanBoy (talk · contribs) 18:41, 21 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Nonsense category, an unencyclopedic cross-categorization.

May 2022[edit]

  1. Category:America's Got Talent judges: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Werldwayd (talk · contribs) 21:25, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
  2. Chosen Effect: nominated at AfD; notified Icecoldrecords (talk · contribs) 17:05, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:PROD contested following deletion. Conducting a brief WP:BEFORE, I agree with the PROD of User:Tamzin, who wrote Largely promotional/COI and minimally sourced. Only 1 backlink, itself unsourced. Having trouble finding coverage even in non-RS, let alone RS. Article's creator Icecoldrecords has a likely COI and I see no RS.

June 2022[edit]

  1. Chosen Effect: nominated at AfD; notified Icecoldrecords (talk · contribs) 01:40, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article was deleted via PROD, then contested at WP:RFUD. It was soft deleted at AfD due to a lack of quorum and has been reinstated at RFUD again. This article is promotional enough that one could have made a WP:CSD#G11 nomination (the article's creator likely has a WP:COI). The sourcing is not compliant, and this is after I have done WP:BEFORE and another user tried to improve the article prior to the soft deletion.
  2. Subsonic Factor: nominated at AfD; notified Missmusiclady (talk · contribs) 22:46, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

August 2022[edit]

  1. Michigan Five Fluke Freshmen: nominated at AfD; notified OddibeKerfeld (talk · contribs) 20:09, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable neologism. I see only trivial mentions of it in news sources. Newspapers.com has only one result for "Five Fluke Freshman". [1] It could be worth mentioning on the five Rep's pages, if sources can be found for that.

October 2022[edit]

  1. Glenn Spencer: nominated at AfD; notified 66.112.105.212 (talk · contribs) 16:43, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable purveyor of hate. AfD closed as "keep" in 2009 but I think our standards for determining notability have improved since then. Most keep votes were not policy-based. Sources present in the article are passing mentions, hardly the in-depth coverage we look for. Being noted as a purveyor of hate by ADL and SPLC is not sufficient grounds for notability. I found nothing on Newspapers.com and the Google News link found by Bearian is broken and I cannot find anything that it could be. It's not helped by the presence of other "Glenn Spencers".

November 2022[edit]

  1. User:Avazina/SOB: nominated at MfD; notified Avazina (talk · contribs) 20:03, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:UBCR says Wikipedia is not an appropriate place for: Propaganda, advocacy, or recruitment of any kind (commercial, political, religious, or otherwise) and Opinion pieces, particularly on current affairs or politics. This is inflammatory opinion on politics.
  2. User:Avazina/BIG MISTAKE: nominated at MfD; notified Avazina (talk · contribs) 20:03, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
  3. User:UBX/Emperor foe: nominated at MfD; notified UBX (talk · contribs); notified Buaidh (talk · contribs) 20:04, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
  4. User:Avazina/CREATION SCIENCE vs EVOLUTION: nominated at MfD; notified Avazina (talk · contribs) 20:41, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:UBCR says Wikipedia is not an appropriate place for: Propaganda, advocacy, or recruitment of any kind (commercial, political, religious, or otherwise) and Opinion pieces, particularly on current affairs or politics. This is inflammatory opinion on religion/politics.
  5. User:Avazina/PETA 2: nominated at MfD; notified Avazina (talk · contribs) 20:41, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:UBCR says Wikipedia is not an appropriate place for: Propaganda, advocacy, or recruitment of any kind (commercial, political, religious, or otherwise) and Opinion pieces, particularly on current affairs or politics. This is inflammatory towards people with certain political / ethical views.
  6. User:Avazina/NO UN: nominated at MfD; notified Avazina (talk · contribs) 20:42, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
  7. User:Avazina/Do Not Insult the Vandals: nominated at MfD; notified Avazina (talk · contribs) 20:43, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is not amusing or helpful in any way. Nuclear warfare for vandals?
  8. Astros's combined World Series no-hitter: nominated at AfD; notified Esolo5002 (talk · contribs) 16:14, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
  9. Terrence K. Williams: nominated at AfD; notified StephenBryant7 (talk · contribs) 00:19, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Insufficient sourcing to establish notability. Previous article about this subject was deleted in June 2020 and nothing has changed since then.
  10. Template:Wards of St. Louis: nominated at TfD 00:11, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: All of the articles on the wards lacked sufficient content for standalone articles and have been redirected to St. Louis Board of Aldermen, which is now the only article in the navbox.

December 2022[edit]

  1. Nick Fuentes, Donald Trump, and Kanye West meeting: nominated at AfD; notified KlayCax (talk · contribs) 21:37, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article is well meaning, but it is born of WP:RECENTISM. The dinner itself fails WP:NEVENT as it is unlikely to pass the WP:10YT. Kanye and Fuentes' antisemitism and Trump's ongoing campaign are ongoing issues that can be documented at their own pages.
  2. Category:House impeachment managers: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified SecretName101 (talk · contribs) 01:54, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

January 2023[edit]

  1. 2022 United States House of Representatives Democratic Caucus leadership election: nominated at AfD; notified Phillypaboy123 (talk · contribs) 17:52, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This does not pass WP:NEVENT. It is a WP:ROUTINE event that happens behind closed doors every two years. Even with the change in speaker nominee from Pelosi to Jeffries, there was no intrigue that would rise above the run-of-the-mill level of coverage for it.
  2. List of most consecutive Pro Bowl selections by National Football League players to start a career: nominated at AfD; notified Debosilla (talk · contribs) 22:12, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
  3. Cardinals–Dodgers rivalry: nominated at AfD; notified PontiacAurora (talk · contribs) 18:41, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This "rivalry" fails WP:V. Just because they are two of the oldest teams in the National League and have faced each other in the postseason doesn't make it a "rivalry". Reliable sources do not verify that it is a rivalry, other than "tbonesbaseball.com" and one ESPN.com blog post.

February 2023[edit]

  1. Grand Slam Single: nominated at AfD; notified Esq1092 (talk · contribs) 02:16, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: I don't see evidence of long-standing notability for the "grand slam single" hit by Ventura in the 1999 National League Championship Series outside of the context of the 1999 NLCS. Nor do the occurrences in 1970 or 1976 rise to the level of this being a notable subject for its own page.

April 2023[edit]

  1. Andrew Horne: nominated at AfD; notified Grazon (talk · contribs) 16:22, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable political candidate for office. Kept at AfD in 2008, before we became more stringent about WP:GNG.
  2. Astros–Braves rivalry: nominated at AfD; notified Ralphierce (talk · contribs) 17:07, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: There are 30 teams in MLB, so naturally each team will face off against the other 29 over time. Wikipedia is not an WP:INDISCRIMINATE collection of information, including going through each set of teams and picking out the times that they met in the postseason. There is no "rivalry" between the Braves and the Astros.

May 2023[edit]

  1. Astros-Mariners rivalry: nominated at AfD; notified PontiacAurora (talk · contribs) 19:52, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Just because two teams play in the same division does not make them "rivals". A couple headlines reading they "don't like each other" or fanblogs calling them "rivals" does not establish that they are indeed "rivals" to the point of having their own dedicated page. Instead, it's WP:FANCRUFT; there is no WP:LASTING impact from the situation on July 26, 2021, for instance. See WP:INDISCRIMINATE and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Astros–Braves rivalry for a similar discussion.
  2. Diana Barrett: nominated at AfD; notified DMacks (talk · contribs) 19:46, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Declined PROD. Person does not meet WP:GNG as their is a lack of coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject significantly covering her biography. No comment on whether or not her fund is notable.

June 2023[edit]

  1. Category:Dominican baseball families: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Dominican Republic baseball families; notified Kosbit4 (talk · contribs) 19:44, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
  2. Race Wars (The Fast and the Furious): nominated at AfD; notified Rachbr95 (talk · contribs) 01:50, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is simply not a notable topic. This is a plot point in a film and has no independent notability from it.

July 2023[edit]

  1. Red Dog Squadron: nominated at AfD; notified Reightr (talk · contribs) 22:31, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a non-notable theater company. Sources make passing mentions to the company, but do not describe it in significant detail sufficient for WP:GNG.
  2. Erekosë: nominated at AfD; notified 68.14.12.163 (talk · contribs) 02:01, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable book character with no secondary references present. This appears to be an article fit for Fandom, not Wikipedia. The previous AfD (from 2018) yielded a few book sources but to me this does not appear sufficient for WP:GNG, as they focus on the books rather than the character.
  3. Category:Undrafted Major League Baseball players: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified ウィ貴公子 (talk · contribs) 17:13, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Categories for MLB draft picks by team have been deleted before (see [2]). What team drafted what player is not a defining characteristic of baseball players. International (not USA, Canada, or P.R.) are ineligible to be drafted.
  4. Lunden Roberts: nominated at AfD; notified Jack4576 (talk · contribs) 15:45, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: The three criteria of WP:BLP1E are met, indicating that we generally should avoid having an article on this person. (1) Reliable sources exist, but only cover her in the context of her involvement with Hunter Biden, (2) she otherwise is and likely will remain a low-profile individual, and (3) her association with Hunter Biden is not a significant event from an encyclopedic standpoint. WP:BIO1E states the general rule is to cover the event, not the person. I believe "the event" is sufficiently covered at Hunter Biden#Relationships.

August 2023[edit]

  1. Daniel Koh: nominated at AfD; notified MarblePolitics (talk · contribs) 22:00, 20 August 2023 (UTC)

September 2023[edit]

  1. Category:Chicago Bears draft picks: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Jagfan71 (talk · contribs) 00:17, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a non-defining category. See similar CfD discussions on sports draft pick categories here, here, here, and here for examples.

October 2023[edit]

  1. Ketel Marte's 18-game post-season hitting streak: nominated at AfD; notified TheCelebrinator (talk · contribs) 18:12, 29 October 2023 (UTC)

November 2023[edit]

  1. Brandon Herrera: nominated at AfD; notified Iska-Germany (talk · contribs) 02:45, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Subject does not appear to be notable. Only one source in the article is to a reliable source publication, but it's labeled as "opinion/commentary" and it's all that I see through a search.

December 2023[edit]

  1. Category:NBA 2k Cover Athletes: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified NJTANK999 (talk · contribs) 18:39, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
  2. Template:Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Player of the Year navbox: nominated at TfD; notified Ejgreen77 (talk · contribs) 00:41, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is an overproliferation of collegiate award navboxes. There is no article for the Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Player of the Year. The navbox links over 60 unique players and only six have articles. As I think Sweeney, Hulsizer, and Lipscomb are the only two on this navbox who are active, I don't see the potential for the others to become articles.
  3. Rorschach (Reggie Long): nominated at AfD; notified StarTrekker (talk · contribs) 19:58, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This version of the character is not independently notable. Some trade sourcing came out while the publication was ongoing (Polygon, CBR, IGN, a post-2013 WP:NEWSWEEK article), but no coverage in the five years since. Other citations are primary, like directly from the source material. If the article is not deleted, it should be merged and redirected into Rorschach (character).
  4. 2012 U.S. state secession petitions: nominated at AfD; notified Coinmanj (talk · contribs) 05:07, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Let's put this to the WP:10YT. This fails WP:NEVENT. I remember it, Obama won reelection, some upset conservatives created petitions on a website that doesn't exist any longer, they received official responses from the White House, and that was that.

January 2024[edit]

  1. 2023 U.S. Senate sex tape scandal: nominated at AfD; notified Another Believer (talk · contribs) 19:33, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a good test of notability principles like WP:BREAKING and WP:LASTING. This story is quite salacious, and so naturally it was picked up by major media outlets and produced enough copy to create a Wiki article. But, the actual impact of this is minimal, presumably leading to nothing but the staffer's unemployment. All sources in the article are dated December 15-20 and there is no further coverage of this, so I question how "in-depth" the coverage really is, beyond noting what was filmed and that the staffer lost his job. The article's status as an orphan also shows the lack of notability, as there aren't articles that link here, though I suppose it could be added to the see also link.

February 2024[edit]

  1. David Rubenstein (activist): nominated at AfD; notified Smithjh1234 (talk · contribs) 07:26, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This person is not notable. Most of the article is given over to promotion of some causes.
  2. Global Coalition Against Pneumonia: nominated at AfD; notified Smithjh1234 (talk · contribs) 07:28, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable organization, promotional article. All of the sources in the article are journal articles about pneumonia.
  3. Edenspiekermann: nominated at AfD; notified Estherovermars (talk · contribs) 00:27, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested PROD. Non-notable organization, sourcing does not appear to exist. Article creator was a WP:SPA

March 2024[edit]

  1. Joe Kerr: nominated at RfD; Target: Joker (character) (notified); notified JoeLoeb (talk · contribs) 01:37, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Nowhere on the page does it say "Joe Kerr". If this redirect is about this character, it's way too in the weeds for our purposes.
  2. Category:Savannah Bananas players: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk · contribs) 18:27, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: The Savannah Bananas are an exhibition barnstorming team. USA Today says to [t]hink of them like the Harlem Globetrotters, but for baseball. These notable individuals who are now categorized as playing for them did so as a one-time stunt. They do not "play" for the team. The few articles I've spot checked make no mention of their Bananas "tenure". This is a non-defining characteristic.
  3. Bruce Meyer: nominated at AfD; notified Rx parkes (talk · contribs) 03:59, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not a notable individual. Fails WP:GNG. Possible autobiography.
  4. D.J Dominic ( D.D.P): nominated at AfD; notified Subah Pauline (talk · contribs) 01:45, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable musician and possible autobiography by a WP:SPA.
  5. Mike McFadden: nominated at AfD; notified Billybob2002 (talk · contribs) 17:19, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable investment banker and political candidate. Fails WP:GNG. Running for the US Senate in 2014 created a rush of coverage tangentially related to McFadden, but really about the election he ran in. No sustained coverage appears to exist.

April 2024[edit]

  1. Template:WBC winning pitchers: nominated at TfD; notified Captain Parmenter (talk · contribs) 00:34, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:NENAN. There is nothing particularly special about winning the championship game of the World Baseball Classic that merits a navbox for it.
  2. National Association of Asian American Professionals: nominated at AfD; notified Markkennedy2 (talk · contribs) 00:02, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I agree with the previous nomination, which closed as "soft delete" and was contested. This organization does not appear to meet WP:NORG. Most sources are WP:PRIMARY and do not convey notability.
  3. Category:American politicians who are the sole member of their party in statewide office: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified 1Matt20 (talk · contribs) 00:56, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
  4. John O'Reilly (baseball): nominated at AfD; notified Joeykai (talk · contribs) 14:10, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable baseball player, fails WP:GNG. This is all the coverage I have found of him and it would fail WP:BLP1E.
  5. Category:American politicians who are the most recent member of their party to hold statewide office: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified 1Matt20 (talk · contribs) 01:40, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Wikipedia:Overcategorization. This is not a defining characteristic for any of these individuals, it's trivial, and narrow. Its also temporary.
  6. Colton Eastman: nominated at AfD; notified TridentMan123 (talk · contribs) 22:31, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable baseball player. Majority of cited sources are transaction logs and other WP:ROUTINE coverage that does not establish WP:GNG.

May 2024[edit]

  1. Alley of the Dolls (band): nominated at AfD; notified MusicForeverYours (talk · contribs) 22:08, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Newly created article, PROD declined. Sourcing does not establish WP:GNG being met. WP:BEFORE brings up only a couple of brief reviews of their EP.
  2. Karla Hernández-Mats: nominated at AfD; notified Eventhisacronym (talk · contribs) 17:23, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Prod declined. Subject does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NPOL. She is a teacher and a leader in a local union who was chosen as a governor's runningmate in 2022. It appears that the Miami Herald wrote up one in-depth piece on her during the campaign and there are other WP:ROUTINE articles relating to the election and the Crist ticket that do not cover her in significant depth.
  3. James Garcia: nominated at AfD; notified Alexsautographs (talk · contribs) 00:57, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable baseball player. Article was deleted by PROD in 2007 and then recreated in 2014. It's different enough to not be speedily deleted, I think. Subject does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NSPORTS.
  4. Registration of players under control (Nippon Professional Baseball): nominated at AfD; notified ELBOW01 (talk · contribs) 19:23, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This does not appear to be a notable topic, with most references to NPB.jp (the league website) and the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association. Lacking independent reliable sourced coverage.
