Nominator's rationale: With only one subcategory of articles, this is overcategorization per WP:OCEPON. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 17:31, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge, as WP:SOFTDELETE due to the low participation in this discussion. The articles which are not biographies are already in other specific categories for the year in question, so no other merge is needed. – Fayenatic London 14:50, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
other categories in 11th to 15th century
Nominator's rationale: merge per WP:SMALLCAT, mostly just one article per category. A double upmerge (also to year categories) is undesirable because these categories mainly contain murder victims and occasionally murderers (i.e. they're nearly all biographies) who do not belong in a year category directly. This is follow-up on this earlier discussion. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:55, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment -- Most of these seem to be bio-articles which might be in "People murdered in 1086" etc. I suspect this category series is the result of a past ill-advised rename or merger. If the articles were about a particular crime we might put them in the target categories, but a bio-article about the life of an assassinated ruler should not be in a crime tree at all. Accordingly, delete most - allthat are not specifically about the murders (or other crimes) themselves. At present the tree is being misused. Peterkingiron (talk) 21:09, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: rename (non-admin closure). Marcocapelle (talk) 05:40, 20 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: As per Category:Internment camps. I would strongly suggest that the sub-categories, which categorize camps by nationality, be scrapped, and instead articles be categorized into Category:Croatian War internment camps and Category:Bosnian War internment camps.Zoupan 05:33, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. While it may make sense to split the subcategories in a different way, they should be nominated as well in order to get anything done. It's probably best to open a separate discussion for this. Marcocapelle (talk) 08:59, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

  • comment I agree with Marcocapelle in the action needed here. Otherwise, things are just too confusing. Hmains (talk) 16:04, 13 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
