Nominator's rationale: Substantial overlap. Hard to see any meaningful distinction. I'm agnostic about which should be kept. Rathfelder (talk) 21:32, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Sorry, but "Community" is NOT necessarily synonomous or equivalent to "neighborhood," at all. saying that they are is often a Western-based, or middle-class based assumption for this usage.
Note: I am okay with the proposal above to rename, if others want that.--Sm8900 (talk) 17:08, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: relisted at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2018 April 10#Category:Barons_de_Brus. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 19:52, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: This category is unsourced and dubious. Although the Bruces were of Norman-French origin, the details are disputed, and it is unlikely that they held a French title several generations after settling in Scotland. An alternative would be to rename it to "Lords of Annandale", a title they did hold. PatGallacher (talk) 17:56, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename (do not delete). The succession box is headed House of Bruce, which someone has inaccurately renamed to Clan Bruce. The Bruces were a noble lowland family, not a highland clan. Possibly Category:Bruce lords of Annandale. I too am dubious about the idea that they remained French nobles after settling in Scotland, but that is an issue of parenting the category, not of its existence. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:37, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • We could be dealing with several issues at once here. I am not aware that there was ever a Barony of Bruce in the Scottish nobility or feudal structure, at the very least this idea is completely unsourced. A category "Bruce Lords of Annandale" is not necessarily illegitimate, but we do not normally create sub-cats of holders of a title from a specific family. "House of Bruce" v. "Clan Bruce" is a legitimate debate, but a separate issue. PatGallacher (talk) 18:47, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Possibly rename to Category:Lords of Annandale without mentioning of the family. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:38, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment This will require a change in scope. Per the article Lord of Annandale, the various holders of the title came from 6 different families: Brus, Comyn, Randolph, Dunbar, Douglas, and Stewart. The last holder of the title was John Stewart, Duke of Albany (d. 1536). Dimadick (talk) 16:26, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: League renamed, see:[1] and main article was moved again by Number 57 (talk · contribs) today, but opposed speedy by BrownHairedGirl (talk · contribs) in WP:CFDS, thanks! Hhhhhkohhhhh (talk) 10:42, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support League has been renamed. Number 57 11:35, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support league has been renamed - the S.League official site now states 'Singapore Premier League' as well. GiantSnowman 12:16, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment -- Even if it had not been renamed, we would need to make the change and S.League is highly obscure. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:38, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Wikipedia has zero videographies of YouTubers. The current pages in this category should be moved to Category:Lists of web series episodes. wumbolo ^^^ 10:25, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Category:YouTubers by genre[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: no consensus. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 19:37, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: YouTubers by genre is unnecessary, in one YouTube channel there can more than one YouTubers so how can we call a YouTube channel 'YouTuber' when you don't know who is behind it. Take Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell's example, we don't know how many YouTubers are behind it but we all know it as a YouTube channel that is why it would be appropriate to categorize topic/genre by YouTube channel and nationality by YouTubers. We don't need these categories. Störm (talk) 06:43, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I was talking in broader context to better relate or if needed rename this and other newly created categories. Sorry for the confusion. Störm (talk) 14:11, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Agree on the nationality part. Although we do know the country of origin of YouTube channels. Since YouTube is based in the U.S., I would make categories like German YouTube channels for all countries except the U.S., because many foreign YouTube channels put the U.S. in their "About" tab. Next, I would categorize YouTubers under YouTube channels because we categorize Television talk show hosts under Television talk shows. If this is done, your proposed deletions can be proced and YouTube channels by topic can be nicely categorized under YouTube channels so we can categorize comedy YouTubers under Comedy YouTube channels. wumbolo ^^^ 09:55, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Just seems like a simple renaming or expansion should be done. Instead of deleting Comedy YouTubers, just create the category of "Comedy YouTube channels", and make the "Comedy YouTubers" cat a subcat of that. Or alternatively, just rename the category to "Comedy YouTube channels". Either way, there should be no deletion of these categories, imo. Soulbust (talk) 14:21, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Soulbust's opinion to rename above from YouTubers to YouTube channels. Wumbolo What are your thoughts? Störm (talk) 14:06, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Rename and recategorize. But delete the Gaming cat. wumbolo ^^^ 14:11, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose renaming. These categories contain biographies rather than channels. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:08, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Marcocapelle We'll remove bios from such classification, this is only for channels. Bios should go into internet personalities or Youtubers by nationality cats. Störm (talk) 09:48, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Emptying these categories by removing biographies requires a rationale. What is wrong with YouTubers categories with biographies? And why do you not nominate the entire tree of Category:YouTubers? After all this tree is almost completely populated with biographies. Aren't you mixing this up with Category:YouTube channels? Nominator's rationale: Too little content and there is no scheme of Category:Rights holders by industry trade group. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 00:52, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: speedy deleted as an empty category. There's no need for seven days of debate about a straightforward spelling error that the creator caught and corrected themself, when it can just be speedy deleted under at least two criteria (empty category and/or "Author requests deletion"). Bearcat (talk) 15:29, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
* Propose deleting Category:Songs about Libanon
Nominator's rationale:: Spelling mistake. Already corrected with the article Songs about Lebanon, so this misspelled category can be instantly deleted. - User:Kjell Knudde 12:46 23 March 2018 (UTC).
