The result of the discussion was: rename. xplicit 04:25, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: to line up with article renaming a few months ago 61.68.24.98 (talk) 23:02, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Question -- Have both dual listed parent companies been renamed to BHP? I think not: if so, oppose and reverse the article rename. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:19, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - Company rebranded in 2017 as described in article. Consensus to rename article was reached here. Nanbai22 (talk) 04:33, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Deuterostomes of Japan[edit]

The result of the discussion was: merge (non-admin closure). Marcocapelle (talk) 06:53, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: This is the only deuterostomes-of-<country> category.  This is an unnecessary category layer (it contains just 2 items) between the vertebrates and fauna categories and (unlike those categories) the word "deuterostomes" is rather specialist.  See related recent CFD. DexDor (talk) 20:28, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge - the single article Clavelina elegans (at the top level) doesn't mention Deuterostome so the category is not supported by the text. Oculi (talk) 22:14, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

other similar categories
Nominator's rationale: WP:NONDEF - many of the articles in these categories don't even mention the specified country (example edit[1]).
For info: Example of a previous similar CFD.  Note: after an upmerge the FofWA category tag should be removed from those articles that are in the FFofWA subcat. DexDor (talk) 19:31, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support -- Biota categories for every country are a variety of category clutter. However, I wonder whether a more specific Category:Fish of tropical West Africa would not be more appropriate: I note that Mali and Chad do not appear in this list. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:23, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There is no Category:Fish of Mali. Chad is normally considered part of Central Africa not West Africa. DexDor (talk) 08:26, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge to Category:Herbal and fungal stimulants. (non-admin closure) Marcocapelle (talk) 08:06, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Seems redundant to Category:Herbal and fungal stimulants. Steel1943 (talk) 17:15, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Class (grouping)[edit]

The result of the discussion was: delete. xplicit 04:25, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: WP:SHAREDNAME. The category text is IMO hard for normal people to follow (and too long for a category page, contains redlink etc), but the contents of the category (e.g. Category:First-class cricket, USB mass storage device class, J class (a dab page) and Parvclass (a redirect)) appear to indicate that it's for pages with "class" in their title.
Note: This is one of a number of similar categories created by the same editor recently - several are already at CFD. DexDor (talk) 06:41, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, completely unrelated items have been put together in a category just because they have "class" in their name. Marcocapelle (talk) 10:38, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. Grutness...wha? 00:59, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. Rathfelder (talk) 10:14, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
