Nominator's rationale:WP:SHAREDNAME. The category text (which is too long/complex for a category page) includes "this category collects articles distinguished by category in their name". The contents of the category (e.g. Category killer, FAA airport categories, Category:Listed buildings in Scotland by grade (but not the equivalent categories for England/Wales/NI), Category D (one of many dab pages in the category) and TNC categories (a redirect)) reflect this. Keep+improve: It is NOT WP:SHAREDNAME - categorising by a subject's name when it is a non-defining characteristic of the subject, or by characteristics of the name rather than the subject itself because, despite sharing the name category, they all share the same grouping meaning. In other words, if this was an article, it would not be a WP:disambigation page, but a WP:set index articles - a set of items of a specific type that also share the same (or similar) name. Nevertheless, the category can be improved (it is already quite changed). I am working on a main article draft but it will take some time to cite everything (remove all WP:OR). Many of the entries will be sub-categorized (although I have been requested to refrain from this temporarily so it becomes difficult to address your concerns), and many should be moved into completely other categories - I just could not find a proper home for them yet. These are the ones you have pointed out and I would prefer constructive help as to where to place them. What you don't see are the many uncategorized articles (and redirects) that I have categorized into proper locations elsewhere. I welcome all suggestions for improvements. Note: many other similar categories have been CFDed (and seamingly targetted) only by DexDor (not by the remaining community), and they all share the same misinterpretation of WP:SHAREDNAME. There are several incorrect statements in that - e.g. I'm not the the only editor to have CFDed one if your categories (and even if I was that's not actually a good reason to keep). The pages in the category do not all share the same meaning (e.g. dab pages aren't about any particular meaning). DexDor(talk) 06:43, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. Clear mix-and-match of unrelated items, which is the essence of most types of WP:NONDEF. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a meaningful connection between Categories of New Testament manuscripts, Baire category theorem, and Category:Prisons in England by category. I will note Dpleibovitz's point about "what if this were an article". Categoryis a disambiguation page, and there is no separate page referring to Category (grouping), in the main because most of the different types of category shown at categoryare forms of grouping. Nominator's rationale: It is a genus category for a monotypic genus thus only a single article can be placed in this category (the main article for the category) making this category unnecessary (it would be better to place the article under the category for the family like all other monotypic genera).
