Nominator's rationale: The article about the seminary was recently moved to Mazahir Uloom. It was previously at Mazahir Uloom, Saharanpur. I don't think there is any other "Mazahir Uloom" in Wikipedia. Good Ol’factory (talk) 23:59, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Redundant to Category:Dedicated deck card games. Category creator has explained on their talk page that when they say "Card Features" they mean things like the "skip a turn" card in Uno - such additional non-numerical cards are what make a dedicated-deck game different from a regular deck of playing cards, as described at Dedicated_deck_card_game#Suits_and_ranks. Nominator's rationale: While the pages in the category are redirects, none of the redirect to a list. Armbrust The Homunculus 16:53, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Are the redirects going to be deleted? If not, where will they be categorized? --Gonnym (talk) 18:20, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I often support WP:categorising redirects, but this does not fit the uses suggested at WP:LISTRCAT or elsewhere on that page. These redirects are just alternative names for full articles, and I can't see any benefit from collating them. – Fayenatic London 13:32, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Anime and manga episode redirects to lists[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: rename. MER-C 19:01, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: This category, while seemingly in a correct "Anime and manga" tree, is incorrectly titled. Manga are printed comics or graphic novels, while Anime is an animated medium. Manga can never have episodes which makes this category incorrectly titled. Gonnym (talk) 16:33, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: This category is unhelpful. Any redirect which for whatever reason, does not have a category should just use {{R from television episode}} with no |1= parameter. That will place the redirect automatically in Category:Episode redirects to lists where it can then be sorted into correct categories. Gonnym (talk) 14:11, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Support per nom. Awhile back I tackled the hundreds of unsorted redirects in Category:Episode redirects to lists, creating dozens of show-specific subcategories and sorting redirects accordingly. I created Category:Miscellaneous television episode redirects to lists as a means to separate out redirects that I had examined but did not warrant their own subcats because there were only one or two of them for a particular show. But left unattended, this category has itself become unwieldy. Putting all of these redirects (many of which are still unique) back into the main category makes the sorting process more difficult, but these categories are certainly redundant of each other at this point.— TAnthonyTalk 16:11, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete with the option of creating the list. MER-C 14:59, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Convert Category:Heroic bloodshed films to article List of heroic bloodshed films
Nominator's rationale: The first problem is that as a category WP:CATVER comes into play. I have gone through a couple dozen of the articles in the cat and haven't found one of them with any sourced info in the article. While the Heroic bloodshed article has some sources that help to define the genre there is still a lot of room for WP:OR and WP:SYNTH as to what films are in the cat and this brings WP:CATDEF into play. This becomes apparent when one looks at the films that were added tonight - Windtalkers, The Untouchables (film) and Full Metal Jacket don't seem appropriate and fail both CATVER and CATDEF. IMO a list article (that was well sourced) would give more scope for explaining how a film qualifies for the genre. As it stands this Heroic bloodshed#Selected heroic bloodshed films is an unsourced hodge podge of film titles, but it could be split off into a stand alone article. Already existing articles like List of films featuring hallucinogens and List of films featuring fictional films could be used as a template. MarnetteD|Talk 03:34, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom, and doubtful if a list will be able to solve the underlying WP:V problem. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:05, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: split. – Fayenatic London 09:03, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: If a category contains both alumni and faculty of a particular university, the general practice is to name the category "UNIVERSITY people". This is a subcategory of Category:People by university or college in Bangladesh. Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:52, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Split -- Elsewhere we have separate categories for alumni and staff/faculty. Peterkingiron (talk) 11:57, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Split per Peterkingiron. Marcocapelle (talk) 15:33, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename/No Objection to Split The rename proposal of the original nom seems fine to me but no objection to the split. Either would be an improvement over the current category name. RevelationDirect (talk) 20:59, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment (nom). I have no objection to a split, but I don't want to be the one who does it. I thought the proposal was a nice waystation if no one was keen to do the splitting. Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:22, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Category contains one article and is unlikely to grow. User:Namiba 00:35, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's already in Category:Schools in Salt Lake County, Utah so there is no need for a dual merge.--User:Namiba 12:51, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So it is. Oculi (talk) 21:01, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
